“We came down as a family with people ranging from age 5 to age 90. We all loved it. My 90 year old dad enjoyed navigating the roads and beaches. Our little 5 year old jumped in and out of the pool all day long with a big "kowabunga" yell or "bobbed up and down in the gentle ocean waves". The casita is newly built out and was very comfortable. The house manager isn’t the easiest to get in touch with, as he doesn’t always reply in a timely manner, but the owner stepped in&got our water situation solved. The house isn’t cleaned daily (we were told that up front) but my husband suggested they should offer a price for daily cleaning service which would’ve been nice. “I can’t wait to go back! We had a wedding in Cabo and because of the distance I decided to make a vacation of it and wanted to go beyond the typical resort area of Cabo/San Jose. Los Barriles is a wonderful little town that is still small, but has all amenities you’ll need. Swimming in the bay is absolutely lovely, but besides goggles you must have water shoes. I’m not a wuss, but there are soooo many rocks to walk across before getting in the water that it’s almost impossible without shoes.……

As part of the hotel, there are many typical hotel amenities, but add kitchen, living area, and separate bedrooms — and this was perfect for our family of four. The front desk and cleaning service people were excellent and responsive. My only critique would be that the kitchen was not very well outfitted for cooking. The two casitas and four large bedrooms in the main house provided us with plenty of space so that we were together but not in each others’ space the whole week. “We booked this to accommodate a family Christmas vacation for 11 adults (aged 23 - 72) and 5 children (age 1 - 9). From our initial communication with Bruce (the property manager) to our send off by Manuel and LuLu (the onsite staff), we were overwhelmed with the property and the gracious service.
