Escape to the coziest, lakeside cottage. Recently renovated to perfection, this quaint and well-kept 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage is located on a private road and down the road from a private beach paradise. This property is perfect for couples, families and friends alike as it is a cozy space, yet large enough for privacy. Enjoy cooking in a well equipt kitchen, read a book on the covered porch, walk down the lane to dip your feet in the lake, or enjoy a nice barbecue with a cocktail- your options here are endless. In case you aren't a well suited guest for completely unconnecting, we have the fastest wifi you will ever experience and a cable TV in each room. The house has its own driveway for ample overnight parking and an in-unit washer/dryer for convenience. Complete with air conditioning and heat, your stay here is guaranteed to be enjoyable and comfortable. Our superb location is a stones throw from Union Pier, New Buffalo and Harbert, but nestled in our own friendly, lakeside community. We provide many amenities to make sure your stay is as effortless as possible, after all, life is great at the lake!

We are Family Friendly: We proudly partner with BabyQuip for Baby Gear Rental. Additional information available upon request from owner. Including but not limited to: strollers, wagons, car seats, full size cribs, Snoo's, pack n' plays, highchairs or boosters, toys, baby gates, extra beach gear and much more. Cute cottage

The location of the cottage is fantastic. It’s a cute little cottage only about a block from the beach entrance, and having a private entrance is an added bonus! There were a couple of minor things, nothing big. Hailey was quick to respond to our concerns and rectified the problems.

The Cottage

My family and I stayed at The Cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and just a short walk to the beach. It is also a close drive to New Buffalo. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Lake Michigan Getaway

We had an amazing long weekend at this cottage. The home had everything we needed for our beach time (chairs, towels, umbrella, and even a boogie board). We loved relaxing on the porch after a long day in the sand, and the quiet street was wonderful. Host was also very helpful and responsive to our questions.

Quant and quiet

The home and neighborhood are lovely. Though in what feels like a safe location the area is populated and off of a main highway. Though the walk to the beach isn’t far the bike lock used for the gate was unexpected. Well worth the walk the view and beach access is just as stunning during off season.

3 college friends reuniting

This Vrbo truly lives up to its description, cozy cottage. Perfect for three friends to relax and enjoy Lake Michigan. Beautiful private beach and every kitchen utensil imaginable. The host was very responsive to every question asked before the trip and during. The outside and landscape could be spruced up a bit for curb appeal, but once inside, perfect.

Excellent location, adorable cottage

The cottage was very clean when we arrived and the decor is charming. However, the location is the best thing about the home. The walk to the beautiful, private beach only took minutes and we loved how much beach time we were able to squeeze in. There is also several playgrounds nearby as well as some awesome breweries, bakeries, and restaurants.

Sweet little Cozy Cottage

My family of four (2 boys 9 & 7) and my husband and I loved the cozy cottage. It is truly a sweet spot on Shady Lane. I love that it is what the area used to be scattered with - little lakeside cottages- (versus new construction) felt so warm and inviting. Hailey has thought of everything that may be needed. Great to communicate with. The walk to the beach is so easy and the private beach was just what we needed (after some “bullying” at a public beach a couple years back by a group that had “paid a lot of money” for their part of the public beach!!!) My boys loved having their own rooms and TVs! I loved being in the updated kitchen but it still fit so well with the cottage ! We all commented on how comfortable the beds and bedding were !!! Our trip ended too soon but we will hopefully get to return to this sweet little gem in the near future. Thank you, Hailey.

Private beach, yes please!

A few blocks downs a rocky, narrow road, followed by a short path and 67 steps, takes you to the main reason why we love renting in this area. A lovely, convenient private beach! The exterior of the Lakehouse hides the charm that has been created inside. It is exactly what we wanted- old style lake/beach decor, with all the modern day upgrades we need: AC, dishwasher, wifi. The 3 queen sized beds are firm, yet comfy, the kitchen is huge, and having 2 showers and a washer/dryer were key for our family. The house is surrounded by tons of trees so we had deer and a variety of birds every morning as we enjoyed the tiny outside deck. One surprising benefit to this stay- the house was really quiet. We never heard the train, cars, neighbors.. when we were sleeping and we had the windows open for fresh air. Must be all the trees:) Hailey was extremely kind, communicative, and helpful before and during our stay. Super simple access to the house and beach. This is the most we've paid per day for a VRBO house, but that may be the Lakeside area- which is pretty upscale? The VRBO pics appeared to make the house bigger than it is, but my family of 4 had plenty of space. My family enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks for the memories.

Amazing Beach!

The house was quaint and comfortable. The location was nice and quiet. The beach was by far the best beach we've been to. The price is on the high end in my opinion. The one downside was not having a good area outside to rinse and off.
