“Excellent and would highly recommend stay, food and junior suite with hot tub. Areas of improvement: Old plumbing pipes by the hot tub in room 24 fires off unpleasant scents here and there and staff could be a bit more friendly and approachable.”

“The property was easy to find. We were met at the door and were made to feel very welcome. Our hosts discussed the accommodation itself followed by a welcoming brew and a chat regarding the local area, places to eat and our breakfast order for the morning. We were recommended a lovely Italian restaurant in nearby St Boswells which was really nice. The views from our room were beautiful and really peaceful. “This was a lovely place to stay which we chose partly because it has some EV charging facilities. The restaurant and bar have a good selection with well kept beer and the staff are helpful and friendly. We especially recommend the panna cotta, however, all the food was good. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well appointed with tea, coffee and water. We would visit again ”

“Fantastic location with lovely views of the East Lothian countryside. Lovely time just sitting, watching the Highland Cows. Accommodation is spotless with everything you need. Owner is so helpful. Highly recommend if you want to get away from it all and just slow down for a few days.”

“We checked in late & were made to feel inconvenient, the kitchen closed long before we arrived which wasn’t the best welcome after long travel. We also left a laptop charger & staff were not very solution orientated and didn’t help us find a way to retrieve the forgotten item.”

“Staff were really pleasant and were not an issue. The room and hotel is massively outdated and not worth the money it is sold for. In my opinion it is falsely advertised The pictures looked nothing like our room. The bedding was a yellow colour. The headboard has sweat stains on it. The bath side/floor was rotted, the furniture was extremely outdated. Rooms were too hot, when opening window the extract from the kitchen entered the room.
