The breakfast was very good and hearty! The gents in the pro shop were first class and were very knowledgeable ! I hope to be back!”

“This is a treat for our anniversary and this place is unique in its own way. We arrived prior to check in time and left our luggage at the reception and enjoyed our glass of champagne. We were given tickets to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia which we enjoyed very much. As the Fingal is part of the business of the Britannia, Fingal gives a feeling of Royalty in an modernised Britannia. The breakfast was a surprise in its top quality and variety of choices and the service is excellent! We shall……

“The property is situated near North Berwick and has beautiful gardens. The building itself is a bit tired. Our room was disappointing for the grade of hotel. Coffee facilities were basis (one packet of two pieces of shortbread to share!). The cooked breakfast was lovely but the continental selection was very poor compared to similar hotels and given that one of the main selling points of the hotel is the Chez Roux restaurant. Cleanliness not what we would have expected either - some litter……
