"We stayed three nights in a private room with two twin beds. The beds are fairly comfortable, although the ibis birds (flying vuvuzelas) wake you up early in the morning with their annoying call. The room is somewhat basic but has most essentials, including a safe. The bathroom is stocked with towels and soap, and the shower has good water pressure. The location is fairly central if you want to explore Camps Bay, Table Mountain and Lion's head. There's lots of good bars and restaurants near the waterfront and the area felt quite safe, even at night. The bar attached to the hostel was very busy with locals and tourists on Saturday. We wanted to use the foosball table, one staff told us it was broken, but later that evening a different staff showed us that it worked. We didn't use the pool."

"I had a delightful stay at the Dolphin, first time in Cape Town as a solo traveler. Location is great, across the street from the Atlantic Ocean, so a great view out the front. The street is not busy at night, so noise was not an issue. Rooms vary in size. I booked one of the larger ones and found it quite spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is cooked to order in the morning, usually eggs, bacon, beans etc with a fruit and cereal bar. It is about a 20 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront with loads of restaurants and activities, and there are a couple restaurants within a block walk. The hop on & off sightseeing bus stops practically across the street. If you are flying in, I strongly suggest arranging a ride through the inn. The driver is excellent. Special shout-out to Karen the hostess, who could not be more pleasant and welcoming.."

"Hotel is in 3 builings, 1 is all hotel, 2 is shared with university 3 is restaurant and rooms. University has ground floor and basement of building 2 hotel has rooms on the higher floors felt a bit strange going to breakfast first day but building is beautiful and the full/ continental breakfast is delicious. Hotel is just across the road from the Waterfront, there is no pool."
