“Beautiful home that is a great proximity to Boothbay Harbor downtown. The pond is very nice but the water level was very low during our stay in March and there were no boats available as described in the listing. It is unclear whether this is something to note for all offseason travelers”

“We spent three nights at Pauls Cottage. As a local host for vacation homes on Cape Cod. I pay attention to the details.The home had a three night minimum.The fee for the host was as much as the nightly rate. There for we expected the service to match the rate. Check in for the cottage was 4:00. We had a 4 1/2 hour drive and knew we would be coming in late. However, we did not hear from our host on how to enter the cottage. “Cottage is rustic but clean in an amazing location. The view out to the boats moored in the water is one of a kind. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen and it worked well for us -- good sharp knives was a plus. Being able to walk down the dock and get the freshest lobsters possible for an excellent price was the highlight of our stay. Free access to kayaks was another nice amenity -- lots of coast to explore. The house is a little quirky (uneven floors and bathroom door is really a curtain),……

“My husband and I stayed two nights, arriving late in the afternoon. We had no difficulty finding or getting into the property. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were out doing things in the area most of the time, but did enjoy a slow, quiet morning and loved being able to walk to the nearby park and enjoy the view. We were also in the apartment early one evening because of light rain, just reading and checking emails, etc., and missed the basics for preparing our own food.……

“We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Authentic vintage experience! Off course, if your are looking for a neet and sophisticate lodding, it might not be the place for you… but it was perfect for us! Very well located, near a private beach with 2 kayaks and chairs for our convinience. Also very near to the action of Boothbay Harbor that was a nice discorery! “We enjoyed the tranquility of the cottage and we appreciated the antiques connecting the cottage to the past/ history of the area. No issues with our stay. Location was good; the drive to daily activities not tremendous. Loved the village, and the people were so friendly. Great escape from every day life.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here! The photos don’t do justice to the beautiful view from the porch. We spent most of our time at the cottage on the porch, watching the boats come and go. There were ospreys nesting nearby and it was awesome to watch them. The cottage was just enough space for the two of us. We could have used some additional storage — there’s a closet but there were only a handful of hangers, and it would have been useful to be able to hang up more of our stuff. Lots of storage……

“The title and description are spot on, this is a vintage home with every amenity we needed for a long weekend exploring Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor. We only needed 3 bedrooms, so did not use the bunk beds tucked into the first floor alcove, and planned to spend most of our time out & about. It was a perfect location for us.”

“My cousin and I, and my dog, spent 3 days at The Perch and we could not have asked for a better experience. The location was remote enough to feel secluded but also not far from Rockland, which was great for a nice lunch and some shopping. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and the bed was unbelievably comfy - we slept like logs! The cozy touches in the bathroom and the living room set the perfect relaxing mood. We had a blast exploring the woods behind the house,……

“Had the good old field of what we always called a "camp." Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and glassware, etc. The lobster processing facility made for a bit of noise and a pretty steady stream of traffic. A lot of trucks, from pickups to semis coming in and out. Didn't really bother us a whole lot but it might bother other people. Overall the view of the water was pretty nice except for the power lines and there's not much that can be done about that. Have to have electricity after all.”

“Check in was fast & friendly. I like that the parking attendant showed us where to park & saved our spots when we ran errands in the car. The lounge was so friendly! Really good coffee in the foyer in the morning. We had a balcony room on the harbor. Shower was hot & good pressure. This is a classic New England motel style hotel. It could use some modernization but then again, maybe not ! ☺️”
