“Beautiful coastal home with stunning ocean views. This was our first visit, and we absolutely loved it. The large porch and multiple decks overlooking the cove offered amazing sunrises, moonlit evenings, and gorgeous sunsets. The property feels private, even with neighboring homes nearby. Check-in was easy, and communication with our host, Maggie, was excellent and prompt.We enjoyed walking the trails down to the beach to watch the lobster boats from the rocky shore. “This house was without a doubt the most beautifully decorated and outfitted place we have ever stayed at. The towels were more luxurious than ours at home. I wanted to stand forever under the rain shower in the bathroom. The only tiny concern was the last step to the front door which was higher than normal and tricky when we arrived at night. ”

“We loved our stay here! What I loved most was the common area with the large sectional and seating area. Plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out! We used the kitchen for all meals and it was adequately stocked with everything we needed for cookware and utensils. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The location is great, a quiet neighborhood and easy drive to the harbor. The only thing I would suggest to make it a better stay is more towels and adequate bedding for the pullout……

“It was our first trip to Boothbay and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! The Shipbuilder's retreat was well appointed in every way! Wide open, well cared for, and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and playing games in the evening. It was a convenient trip to the local grocery store, and was very near to all the beauty and joys of the Harbor, light house's, LL Bean (an hour), and hiking. We LOVE it!
