“We had a great stay at Mamaw's Cabin! The place was perfect for our party of 3 and our dog and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a great way to finish the day after spending hours hiking the amazing scenery of the area, in particular the trails around the Linville Gorge. Another BIG bonus was being just 2 minutes away from Linville Falls Winery. Cell phone signal is non-existent around the cabin so make sure to plan your routes ahead of time while connected to...

“Our cabin was tastefully appointed. The furniture and king bed were very comfortable. All the appliances were fairly new and functioned well. We will definitely book this property in the future.”

“ 1 mile gravel road driving up a mountain at 10 - 15 mph to nice, clean, well furnished mountain home. Plan shopping ahead of time or drive 15 minutes to Walmart or longer to neighboring towns. Other local grocery stores closed, damaged from Helen. Dress for being on a mountain, it gets cold quickly. Drive to hiking trails, no hiking trail directly from rental. Start at the Spruce Pine Museum of North Carolina Minerals with 300 area mineral varieties on display. Museum also has a tourist...

“The creek is amazing. Deep enough to wade into. Location is convenient to Banner Elk (you have to try the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster!!) and Boone (have to try Coyote Kitchen and Stick Boy!) While you're at it head up Beech Mountain in the summer and ride the chair lift to the top (there's a bar up there) and watch the mountain bikers ride down the mountain. House was convenient to all of this! Can't wait to return. Oh yeah, the homemade sour dough bread and jam are a welcome surprise. ”
