Really is an awesome view!

Great place for our family to connect. Everything we needed, nice location on the beach. Close enough to seafood restaurants, golf in Wakulla, and other local activities. Highly recommend!

Such a great getaway!

Such a great stay! This is our third stay at this house! We have really enjoyed each one. We love being on the beach and opening up the sliding glass doors and letting the air in. The beach is generally pretty quite and empty over the holidays! Can watch both the sunrise and sunset from the porch which is awesome! Super dog friendly! They have changed up some of the furniture and curtains which gives it a more light and airy feeling. Kitchen is well equipt and the bed is comfy!

Awesome view

This house is perfect if you want peace and quiet and a beach to yourself! We had dolphins who played at the shoreline one day.The house was immaculate and the kitchen was well equipped.The only complaint the we had, was the list of immenities There was no gas grill, none of the four bicycles were in working order. No beach chairs or sand toys. And the refrigerator in the shed could never be used for food. It was filthy and smelled like fish.

If you like sunrise and sunsets, crashing waves, pure sand, semi private beach, nice neighbors you rarely see, quiet, birds galore, and dolphins cruising the shore lines. You don't really have to go to the beach because.. you are the beach. The property manager will go out of her way to help also. Alligator point is a hidden gem.

Home is exactly as described and as shown in photos. The beach in front of the house is peaceful, private, and breathtaking. The kitchen was very well equipped and we so appreciate the kind welcome gift!!

We had a great time!! Mark and Lisa were great, answered all our questions. My kids loved having the bikes available for sunset rides. Having the grills available was fantastic. The ocean views were great and we can’t wait to return to Awesome View.

Relaxing Vacation

We are 4 senior citizens and this place was perfect. Didn't have to haul things a long way to the waters edge. Saw 8 people in a week. Very private and relaxing. It was well stocked with everything we needed. We didn't even have to unpack everything we brought with us that we normally take. Nice covered area to sit and relax and enjoy the ocean. Even saw Dolphins several days.

Connected as you want to be!

What a wonderful location and home. Here are the highlights: fully equipped home, great ocean views, 20 steps from the water, miles of pristine beach for walking, never saw more than 30 people on any of our mile+ walks, kayaks and rods for some fun, plenty of outdoor cover for the rain showers, short drive to a few restaurants, no crowds, no distractions, available owners, great caretakers, great internet if you want it.... We enjoyed an uncommon escape where we were able to slow down and be with each other. We will be back!

Getaway with coworkers.

My husband and I, along with 2 other couples, spent a long weekend at Awesome View for some much needed rest and relaxation. First let me say that the hosts are some of the nicest I have ever communicated with when renting houses. The house was very clean and beautiful- right on the beach! They had lots of beach “assessories” available for use; kayaks, bikes, paddle board, etc. We had some rain during our stay but the area under the house is perfect for hanging out and waiting out the rain. The house was well equipped for all of our cooking needs and the screened porch was perfect for evening meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Paradise Found!

My family and I loved our stay at Awesome View. This was a new area for us and we were amazed at the natural beauty. If you are looking for manicured beaches with clear water this area may not be for you. However, if you crave seclusion, natural beauty and slow lazy beach days this home is the place. We spent time cooking, reading and just spending family time together. For those of us who cook a lot more pots, pans and bowls would be nice. Other than those items the home was very well stocked with most of what you need. The owners were very responsive and check-in and out was easy. The only downside to our trip was having to leave. Awesome vacation at Awesome View

This beach house has the most awesome view, just like its name, and the pictures do not do it justice. And the beach has the largest shells we've ever picked up from any beach!!! And The owners have thought of everything, and I mean everything from beach towels to shampoo and soap dispensers in every shower (even the outside shower downstairs), to night lights in every bathroom and main room, to the turtle safe flashlights for nighttime walks on the beach. From coffee and teas, creamer and sugar, to lots of spices and every cooking utensil you should need! There are so many beach toys and things for kids, that my 5yr old grandson was thrilled the entire week! He also enjoyed the "corn in the hole" game! We had many games for any rainy afternoon to help pass the time and create cherished memories, like when the 5yr of grandson learned how to play monopoly and beat his grandparents who taught him!!! Truthful!! And we're not only "sit with your toes in the sand" beach kind of people but we also like to get into the ocean to cool down, however, not everyone in our family had brought water shoes so I recommend vacationers to bring a pair if you like getting in the ocean due to rocks and broke shells. That is the only negative which is controlled by nature and the Lord! So the owners, Lisa and Mark, have provided anything and everything else to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your beach house and providing all necessities!!

If you are on the fence about renting this place, let me help you- book it now. This was hands down the best rental we have ever had. Every beach toy needed or wanted, they have so you wont need to bring it. Being right on the beach was so easy to walk downstairs after breakfast, put sunblock on, and walk right out on to the beach. When we stayed, as far as we could see in either direction, there were only 5 other families on the beach. The under portion of the house was a great place to hang out and relax with a swing and a hammock and a breeze. We all loved the real out door shower that they provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash- that was an unexpected touch. The view from inside this house was indeed amazing! The pictures really do not do it justice. I read a review about the sunset- we watched it go down behind the house a few nights and I imagine we could have gone down to the Tiki Hut at the marina to watch that and eat but we were happy every night at that time to walk down to the large sand bar. The clear water waves at the sandbar came in from both directions and when they met and crossed looked like lattice and was, for a lack of a better word, beautiful. If you like to shell hunt then this is the beach for you. Every night we went out on a walk and found shells larger than my fist, I found a few pieces of sea glass, and 3 hermit crabs which prompted my kids to learn about the little guys. There is also a vacant lot or 2 next to this house which we were afraid was a public access point but it was not. Public access is a good bit further down and only has a few parking spots. The people next to us said there had been a home next door that did not survive a storm. My only complaint was about the water. It was not the turquoise up or down the coast that I am used to. Our waitress at Tropical Trader (I'm from the south and it was the best fried food I have ever had in my life- that's saying a lot) said that the water was muddy looking due to all the rain that they have had. Not really much that can be done about that and we still got in but we were mindful to not go too far out. We did not see any jelly fish in or out of the water and no shark sightings. We did see horseshoe crabs that had washed up on the beach and my kids loved looking at those guys. There were a bunch of large fish jumping in the ocean and that was neat to watch them from the deck. I really could go on and on about this beach and house if I had more characters!

Super communicative host

Wonderful, beautiful house with great amenities! During our stay we had issues with both the internet as well as the AC unit. However, the host was quick to respond to our messages and get both issues revolved in a timely manner! Alligator Point is one of our favorite locations to visit and this has been one of our favorite places thus far!

Another wonderful stay

This was our second time staying here and it was amazing again. This home is always very clean. It is very peaceful and quiet. My husband enjoyed fishing right on the beach, while my dog and me enjoy taking walks. A few days wecdid not see anyone else on the beach.

Up close and personal

Personally, if going on a beach trip, I want to walk out the door or down the steps directly onto the sand and water. This trip was definitely all that and then some. We spent much of our time beachside and on the well-appointed covered deck enjoying the waves and ongoing pelican show. It had interesting beachcombing, which we enjoy and always have to bring home a few treasures. The property is tastefully and delightfully furnished - all beds are super comfy with great bed linens, towels are excellent, very nice and adequate kitchenware (except we couldn't find a cheese grater haha), comfy living room furniture, enough paper towels and TP, good Wi-Fi, etc. Can't comment on the TVs as we never turned any on! Anyway, you get the idea. Of note, other than some saran provided, you may need your own baggies and foil. We didn't use any flotation items but we did notice some of those and the rusty beach chairs were a bit "beyond", so same there. The different kinds of bike, kayak and other stuff to use looked great but we didn't partake.This property is definitely one of our top favorite rentals for our almost-annual cousins' trips. It's a low-key area and prime for hanging out at a great beach casa.

Spontaneous time away.

Great spot to get away from most everything. My husband had the best time fishing and caught at least 8 different kinds of fish- some of them were eaten and enjoyed. Very private beach, but enjoyed occasional interactions with locals and visitors. Owners were quickly responsive when we had an air conditioning issue- it was resolved the next day. Really unique and beautiful area.Not your "typical" Florida vacation, but we enjoyed the heck out of it.

Location, Location, Location

This is a perfect location if you enjoy a private beach and the house right on the water. The view is fantastic. I can't speak about the ocean water because its my first visit to that area. I did ask a lot of the locals and most of the time the water is mixed. Not the blue water of Destin or P.C. Beach area. Lots of grass. Fishing people, this is a fantastic place with all the necessary extras.

Amazing property!

Awesome view! Our stay was such a relaxing and beautiful experience. From the moment you drive up you can see the Gulf and hear the waves! We enjoyed watching the birds and dolphins and the sunrises and sunsets were fabulous. The house and entire property is very clean and well kept. It has so many amenities, such has an outdoor shower, outdoor bathroom, bikes, grill, chairs, back porch facing the gulf with a dining table, and so much more that makes this property so awesome. The private beach is such a welcome change from the crowded beaches we are used to and it's a perfect spot for kids too. The owners have literally thought of everything possible to make staying here such a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!
