“The property was gorgeous. My granddaughter told me it might be the coolest place we've ever stayed, she's 20. If you are a bird watcher there is plenty to see. Just a short drive to the main area of Hilo. Wish we could have stayed longer.”

The location provided expansive views of the coastline and of Hilo Harbour in the distance. The manicured landscaping and enjoyable lanai and patio were the perfect places to unwind outside.”

“We enjoyed our stay here. It was a great home base for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and other sights on the Big Island. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfy. We walked to the ocean in the morning for great views of the coast and spent a lot of time on the screened porch enjoying the trees and flowers in the yard. They even grow their own pineapples! Craig and Patti are great hosts. Patti notified us about the Kilauea eruption. Unfortunately we missed the show because……

“This was a great spot to stay as our home base while we explored the Big Island. Great location- central to everything we wanted to do on the Hilo side (about an hour from VNP, and within an hour of several waterfalls). Easily the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in, and the added bonus of a gate made us feel safe and secure. If we return to the Big Island, we will definitely be staying here again! ”

The hosts are always so kind and responsive, the house is spotless and they have equipped it with everything you could need to have a fantastic vacation. Every room has AC, though we often felt it wasn't needed when the screened in windows and doors were open letting that perfect Hawaiian breeze go through! My favorite thing is sitting out on the adorablely decorated lanai with my coffee early in the morning with a book and listening to all……

A lot of time and love was put into this rental house, making it feel like a home for our stay.
