"My husband and 4 year old son traveled from Ohio to Embassy Suites, Dorado and overall it was an enjoyable trip. The hotel staff was very hospitable and our favorite person was Jorges who makes exceptional breakfast every morning. The cleaning staff was great too, as was Marie who was helpful in booking a rainforest excursion. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very dated. The room felt a bit dingy and the carpet in the hallways and room was pretty gross. The pull out bed for our son was all springs and not comfortable. Our king bed was pretty nice, pillows extra soft with no other options. The interiors are in desperate need of an update. The restaurants at the hotel are nothing special. Especially Calypso, which on our first night, brought out a cold, barely cooked piece of salmon that was inedible. If you want good dinners you have to leave the hotel. If you want to walk to a more enjoyable beach you can, but dont follow the google map, it takes you 40 minutes out of the way. Ask the hotel staff how to get to the fishing pier, then you’ll find it. The hotel beach is fine, pretty rocky so if your feet are sensitive bring swim shoes. There is a more private, quiet and prettier beach over by the condos. Check it out, very serene and swimable! The pools are nice, a little chilly, but clean and fun. Hot tub was always pretty packed. The outside bar is alright, made good drinks, food though is pretty so so. This hotel is worth the price, won’t be back though."

"Was able to see the ocean from our room, but being on the north side of the island you’re not located at a beach that is safe to swim. Pool looked good, breakfast was included which was nice, but the selection was limited. Staff was lovely"

"Excelente la experiencia en estadía en el 1912 Hotel Boutique de Cayey. Me quedé junto a mi esposo por un asunto de trabajo en Cidra pero nos encantaría regresar. Al momento no tienen ascensor pero próximamente lo estarán instalando junto a otras amenidades que tendrán. Apoyemos lo nuestro!!!"

"Clean room, friendly staff, ample parking, public beach w/ ample parking, great local food & bars nearby. Beware the noisy rooster/s that don't just squack in the morning! They're kind of adorable as I'd never seen them before in person, but they can ruin a good afternoon nap 😉 Also there's at least 5 tattoo shops nearby. Toa Baja is about 30 minutes from San Juan, I'd highly recommend a rental car. Using ride share services is an option, but a rental suited my needs better for sight seeing and exploring. My only issue/concern is that housekeeping was not daily. "
