The Queen suite was perfect, the grounds are beautiful, restaurant is excellent and the inn and surrounding area has so many fun, historical sites that we absolutely loved. This place is an absolute gem!

Lovely property. Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Adequate breakfast. Only issue was that we could not control the temperature in our room. Both heating and cooling controls were in other areas and connected to other rooms beside ours.

Absolutely terrific inn. Beautiful park like seeing belaying the fact it is minutes from a major highway. Buildings are really beautiful. The staff is helpful. It was great sleeping with the windows open and fresh breezes keeping the room quite comfortable without using the A/C. Breakfast is only available on the weekends from 8-9:30. We were upstairs and I should note I'm 6'3", our room had gables and the ceiling was in the way of my head in the bathroom and on one side of the bead, plus there were lots of steps up to the room. Not a show stopper, but next time we'll stay downstairs

Loved the feel of this historic hotel. The staff was great at both breakfast and check in. Temperature control in the room was a challenge and would have appreciated a little more communication on cleaning the room for our 2 night stay. Overall, our visit was very good. We would return.

Its a lovely property w/a farm feel. The staff were nice and the food was delicious.. happy hour was a great touch and max the bartender was on point with those margaritas!! The room however. I booked a queen suite w/sitting area and unfortunately got a king rm, which they said was an upgrade, but it had no separate sitting area which was why i choose the queen rm. I was definitely disappointed in that it made it harder to achieve my plans for the stay.. the checkout was smooth and the woman at the front desk was very insightful in telling me that some sites were advertising rooms that werent available and there was a meeting coming up to discuss the matter. All and all the Joseph ambler inn was a quiet relaxing stay. The grounds are beautiful and the accommodations are good.

The property was nice and the staff was very nice. However, our air conditioner leaked water on the floor …. as in the floor was soaked. We reported it on Saturday night. We checked out Monday morning. It was never fixed. Their solution was to give us more towels to put on the floor. My husband had to walk on the soaked floor to get in and out of bed. On a good note they serve an amazing complimentary breakfast on the weekend.

I liked the beautiful grounds and historic buildings, however, what is interesting historically isn’t necessarily ideal living in a modern age. The room was small, lacked a coffee maker anywhere near the room, and the ceilings in the room and bathroom were damaged and peeling. The bed was comfortable, but had only a thin cotton coverlet, with a similar one in the closet. The food, which was catered for a wedding, was uninspired and average.
