The room was and perfect for our couples get away weekend. The jacuzzi tub did not work, so that was disappointing. Our room was right next to the event spaces (with indoor and outdoor), so Friday night was very loud. But, it was still a wonderful couples weekend and we will come back.

Property was wonderful. Everything helped make us comfortable. The history surrounding the place is most interesting. We were disappointed with the restaurant. Neither meal we had were, we felt, up to the standards we expected The breakfast buffet was very good.

The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant is excellent. But my room was surprisingly dirty and worn. Music from outdoor entertainment on weekends intruded into the room. J. Ambler offers a variety of rooms of different quality located in various buildings on the premises. My recommendation is to avoid booking a room in The Barn building, the location of the restaurant and bar. Speak with the front desk first before booking a reservation.
