Cool and Comfortable
Great place with lots of stuff in the kitchen to use (pots, pans, utensils, etc.). The beds were comfortable and the living room was cozy. A few things may need updated but this was very minor. I will mention that the loft has little/ no privacy (best for kids or singles) but it was very nice that it had its own bathroom upstairs.

Really enjoyed the stay. The online information had different check in and check out times but the owner was more than willing to let us in early and stay a little later. They were very easy to work with and accommodating. Quick and responsive to any questions.

Magical Dome was great!
#1: Rodica, the owner, is very nice. She communicated very well with me. We had a big snow storm the night before our arrival, but Rodica worked with me to make it all pleasant. #2: The dome cabin is very open, which made it nice for our family get together. All those that stayed there really liked it. There is a private bedroom, two bathrooms, and a nice loft. Kitchen facilities are very adequate and clean. #3: We had a very good time at the Magical Dome.

Charming little cabin in the woods!
We came up because we were in a wedding. I stayed with my family of 6 and my sister and her family of 4. Because it has only one bedroom, and a loft full of beds, there's not a lot of privacy for two couples. It didn't bother us because we are close family But that might be a factor for some. We loved all the amenities and we're very comfortable there. The kids enjoyed the movies and the board games that were in the cabin. It was charmeand clean and way better than any hotel. We loved our stay. Thanks for sharing it with us

Serene, peaceful & dog friendly!
Was looking for a dog friendly place in the mountains. Serene setting, beautiful Madrone trees blanketing house, swamp coolers were excellent for the summer, very quiet and saw deer three out of four mornings above the driveway . I got everything I asked for!

Fantastic Vacation Spot!!
Me and my friends celebrated graduating high school with a week up at the dome and it was incredible! The space met our needs perfectly and we felt at home the entire time. The dome is about an hour away from a bunch of really cool natural spots, we would recommend natural bridges and candy rock, but if you are just looking for a place to rest and relax the dome is awesome for that too. The kitchen was awesome for cooking and had all of the amenities we needed. The loft did get a tad hot, so bring some fans but it was spacious and we were all very comfortable sleeping up there. Overall the dome was a fantastic vacation spot and we would love to come again.

Cozy, private space
This place was so adorable and cozy. From the second we walked in it felt like home. It had everything we needed and more. After reading all the reviews before renting, I noticed that all the issues past renters reported had been taken care of which showed me the owners really care about the property and their renters. Even though there are other houses around you, they cannot be seen from inside the house so you really feel very private. The house was very clean but a deep clean (upper windows, under large furniture was needed). The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because the house is very cozy and all I wanted to do was curl up in a comfy chair or couch to read or watch a movie, unfortunately there was not a comfy place to be found. A very hard uncomfortable futon in front of the t.v. and some small or armless chairs around the wood stove. These things wouldn't prevent me from staying again or recommending the 'Magical Dome ', but I would habe definitely given 5 stars.

Wonderful location...Amenities lacking
Our family loved the setting and feeling of the Magical Dome; we enjoyed our time there immensely. There were, however, things seriously lacking in terms of appointments and inside accommodations. 1) Important to note, while the description (I believe) states 2 bedrooms, there is actually one (1) that is private. The upstairs loft is not private, though great to have all the beds and bathroom. 2) The upstairs bathroom lighting was very poor (we were getting ready for a wedding!), and lacked a functional vanity space, without a real mirror over the sink. A small stand-alone makeup mirror and a small, cheap, rectangular one was propped up against the window above the sink, sharing space with a dual-fan, also propped up on the shelf. While there were towels (1 on each of 2 racks), no additional linens were found upstairs. One would expect to find a decent set of towels, rather than mis-matched and random; these looked like thrift store finds. I'm sorry to be critical on this point, but these are things I would have wanted to know when I booked. Also in the shower, used soap, and open bottles of shampoo and conditioner indicate a lack of professional management. 3) The kitchen had NO dish towels, sponges or dishcloths, NONE, and none to be found in the laundry area. Kitchen was not well-furnished for cooking; items were not easy to find or missing. Eventually found the baking pans sitting on something in the laundry room. Another criticism, minor, but again...reflective of the lack of professional management - the third-full bottle of dish soap sitting on the sink was missing it's cap. Overall, the place - while clean - was not what I would consider to be a well-maintained, well-appointed vacation rental. I suppose you could say "you get what you pay for" given this being the most affordable rental in the area. But for me, spending several hundred dollars for a 2-night stay should have translated to some fairly minimal standards of care and decent appointments that I found to be seriously lacking.

Unique Property, Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay at the dome! It has everything you need for a wonderful stay and your dogs are welcome, too. There is even an enclosed dog run so they can safely go outside to take care of business and sniff to their heart's content! We found the home extremely comfortable and because it sits up a little high, you feel like you're in a tree house in the forest. It's easy to get to and there are amenities nearby such as groceries, a general store, a handful of restaurants, and golfing - not to mention Kirkwood just up the highway a bit. If you want to go out for breakfast, Cook's Station is a few miles up 88 towards Tahoe and they make a mighty fine plate of food. If you prefer to do your own cooking, the kitchen is extremely well-stocked! We'll definitely be back!

Cozy, fun, and perfect for our needs!
This is such a unique property. Our kids loved it from the time they walked in...especially the loft, the kitchen table, and the woods out back. We had 2 families in our party (4 adults, 6 young children, and one newborn). It suited our needs well.

Dome Tastic
We booked this Dome very, very last minute for Labor Day weekend and the owners responded within MINUTES! They were kind enough to open it up and let us stay. We just wanted a get away that was relaxing and this was it! What a great place to just sit around and enjoy and relax. We saw about 12 deer walk across the yard each day. They came out to eat and back to go to sleep at night. I thought I might have heard Coyotes but I think it might be the doggies howling at sirens. lol. Tiger Creek is only a 12 minute drive down a windy scary road but worth it. We were told you park at the PG and E Hydro place and you walk around onto the trail. There is a nice little waterfall and picnic tables. We went there but only stayed a little bit cause we wanted to get back to the Magical Dome. Where we played 2 games of Monopoly and relaxed and took in the silence. My only recommendations is a larger bed..only because my husband and I are spoiled bed brats. =). Possibly a window unit for the bedroom and a portable AC for upstairs loft. Now, we didn't have any heat issues but read in that awesome guest book that some people were hot. It was about 78 when we got there and we opened it up and brought our own box fan (the owner has fans there too) It took awhile to cool down but it did! The next day it was even cooler when we kept it open all night. Maybe invest in some drapes to hold the cold in. Other than that I thought it was perfect and we will probably be back. Thank you so much again! Oh and a hot tub would be SUPER DOMETASTIC! Although hard to find a place for it.

It was just a perfect weekend get away. The home was very clean well maintained, and plenty of bed to sleep. Very nice deck area to spend the warm evening outside. Loved every minute of it. I would definetly recommended this property to my friend and family. Thank you so much to rented out for us. Erika
