“I booked this hotel at very short notice while preparing to travel from the northeast of Scotland to visit a seriously ill family member for what was expected to be a final visit. Unfortunately, on the morning of our planned departure for the 8-hour journey, we received the sad news that our family member had passed away, meaning the trip was no longer required. We contacted the hotel immediately to explain the exceptional circumstances and respectfully requested a refund or goodwill……

The room was quite hot, even on a cool day, and were it not for the ability to open the window and use a fan (already in the room) it would have been very comfortable. The condition of the room - new and clean - was very good.”
