Fantastic views

This was our second time staying at his property. It is very clean and the ocean views are amazing from every window. Check in is easy! We definitely will be returning.

Perfect New Year Eve Celebration

We stayed three nights and enjoyed it. The location is wonderful. The beach is only a short distance. The property is a four-plex but we didn’t hear anyone else. It had all the cooking stuff we needed also. The doors need a little TLC from wear and tear and a few more lamps would be helpful for readers. We were quite happy with our stay.

Fantastic views

The views from this condo are breath taking. The beach is only about 80 steps away. The condo was spacious and very clean. We can't say enough in praise of our experience. We plan on returning in the Spring.

We will be back!

The location is amazing just steps from the beach, with views of the water from every window! Sunsets are amazing! Very clean and family friendly! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. It was a nice surprise to have hand soap, dish soap and detergent, toilet paper, paper towel roll and even some laundry detergent accessible! Plenty of towels and linens provided! We had so much fun as a family of 4 here! We can’t wait to stay again!

Close to beach

We were here for a month. The view from deck facing south is good, saw a few dolphins. We brought the cushions in at night so the humidity didn't make them wet. The kitchen is well stocked. There is plenty of hot water. When we checked in, didn't realize that there is a set of stairs at the front of the building and that's where the key is! The unit needs some love, but it's fine.

Beautiful view

Pros, comfortable beds, views and location where perfect.they did have plenty of beach gear which was a plus! Thank you for that! Cons, kitchen, bathrooms getting dated, the sofa and chairs not comfortable at all.it was hard to relax on them. Tv had side speakers which here not good. No blender for drinks.😣 We did any always enjoy our time on the cape! Thank you

Beautiful View

Condo has lovely views of the gulf and is close enough for daily walks or beach-sitting. Spacious and tastefully decorated, our only suggestion would be some kind of window coverings or blinds in the living room area. Not a problem during the day, but in the evening it feels as if you’re in a fishbowl. The only other minor inconvenience was that the washer/dryer is in a room two flights downstairs, underneath the unit. Otherwise, this condo was perfect for us and Dave was a fantastic host.

Hiccup but satisfied with resolution

Things don’t always go perfectly, but as long as they are resolved, it’s OK. It was close to 10 PM when we arrived. We found that the unit had not been cleaned. It would have been better if communication responses with the manager could have been received before we went to sleep for the evening, but it was late and I was doubtful I would hear anything. I thought we were going to have to sleep in the vehicle, but we found clean sheets and were able to replace the ones on the bed. The cleaner was able to come out the following afternoon and did an excellent job. To make up for the issue , the manager offered an extra night, which we were able to accept. We enjoyed our stay and would consider this place again.

Beautiful, serene, and rejuvenating!

LOVED this place! Ships and Giggles exceeded my expectations! The views were amazing and the sunsets were extraordinary! The house itself has four units and shared decks which wasn't an issue for us, but may be for those who want privacy. The unit itself was just like the pictures and very nice. The kitchen had just about everything needed to prepare your meals. There is hardly any light pollution so being on the deck at night, you can see an unbelievable amount of stars! I saw several shooting stars every night of our stay! We could watch the dolphins playing from inside as well as on the deck. It only takes a minute to get to the beach and there are two acess points. There was beach chairs and toys to use in the laundry room, which was a nice touch. I love Cape San Blas and have always wanted to stay here! The sea turtles were the first thing to bring me to the area, but the beauty and tranquility of the area was the icing on the cake! I love that it is not the usual tourist trap, but quiet and laid back. I cannot wait to come back!!

Everything we wanted in our first Gulf Vacation

Ships and Giggles was the perfect getaway for our young family. I must say location was the most significant factor that led to the incredible experience. The beach is literally 20 seconds walk from the bottom of the stairs. The unit is great. Had everything we needed, with exception of a blender. Had to bring our own as the owner mentioned a previous guest had taken it. The lockable owner’s closet down near the parking garage has all kinds of beach related gear which we really appreciated. It also houses the washer and dryer so it is a walk down from the unit to use these. However, this lends to the decently large square footage of the unit, which we found to be very spacious. The porch Is the nicest of all in the building. Simple but comfortable and has the best view of the ocean. Dave, the owner was promptly responsive and helpful with information on the area. We are looking at booking this same unit for next year.

January retreat

The good things about this unit, it sits steps from the beach, has lovely views of the surf from multiple windows, it is very open with great lighting, great seating for reading or watching TV, nice dishwasher, stove and refrigerator, lovely dinnerware. The bad things, although the listing says everything is new, there were many things not in good shape. The counters in the kitchen are in desperate need of replacing. I misread the description, thought it said there was stainless steel cookware to use. The cookware is all nonstick and well worn. If I had known that, I would’ve brought my own pots. One of the instructions is to refill the Britta water filter, I’m not sure what happened to it, but there was no such filter. We did drink the tap water and it was fine, but for those people who would like to have a water filter, you need to bring your own. The shower curtain in the master bath needs to be replaced, it’s not clean. The shower nozzle in the master bath drips, so you have to leave it off of the connection dripping down into the Drain. The mattress is soft in the master bedroom, the listing said it was new, but the side closest to the door felt hollowed out like you were sleeping in a little low spot. That’s a matter of preference, we prefer a firmer mattress, this one was soft. Lamps in the sitting area did not have switches, not usable. For a unit that was recently remodeled per description, there were a lot of things in need of repair.

Clean comfortable unit with amazing sunsets.

Unit is as advertised. Very comfortable. Kitchen is supplied well enough to cook and eat. It even had dishwashing liquid and paper towels. The beds were comfortable. Soft, but comfortable. The deck facing the gulf is large and has a clear view. We were amazed with the sunsets. This is a relaxed life style. No hustle or bustle. Just laid back. Small intimate restaurant and a few shops.

Great location

Close to the trading post and St Joe Seafood. Amazing location on the beach! 6 miles to the State park and 6 miles to 30A. This is an older unit that has been partially renovated and on the second floor so there are steps. The unit was clean. Our only real complaint was with the mattress in the master. We stayed 9 nights.

Nice but Property Needs Updating

The location of the property is right next to the ocean. You could hear the ocean waves from your bedroom window, which was really cool. The updates that have been done to the property were nice. However, the properties kitchen needs an overall. Also there were places throughout the property that needed a deep clean, specifically in the bathrooms. Overall not the worst or the best place I've stayed at.

Great View and Good Location

Great location near the Trading Post (grocery) and shops. Location is great for a quiet stay right on the gulf. The unit could use some cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom, but overall it was nice stay! The views are great and you are steps from the beach. Further down the beach towards the state park is a bigger space on the beach, but perfect for a small group (just not a huge beachfront). The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all the appliances and necessities. Easy check in and out procedures.

Thanksgiving getaway/get together

We have stayed in this unit multiple times now. Location is GREAT and great views! Super close to the beach - a matter of feet. The unit is always clean and well stocked. The owner is always good to work with. Cannot wait for our next visit.

Long weekend chill

The place is easy to find. Unit is on the second floor with great views of the gulf from every room. The unit is nicely furnished and the beds were comfy. Getting to the beach is easy and less than 30 seconds I'd say. The 2 general stores arewiyhin a half mile

Sunsets are breathtaking!!

My 13 year old daughter and I had the BEST week here! Literally everything about this property was perfect…I can’t say that I have any complaints or concerns at all. I appreciated the beach chairs and big umbrella; there were also sand toys and a small cooler in the laundry room...Dave literally thought of everything! The beach was never crowded; in fact, all 6 days we were there, there was never more than a dozen other people out. I absolutely love this location and look forward to my next vacation!!
