The standout was the staff. I had booked 10 nights but only ended up needing to stay for 7, and the woman at the front desk went above and beyond to coordinate with Expedia to secure a refund for the unused portion, which was very much appreciated! The location is excellent: easy access to transit, dining, coffee....and yet a bit removed from the worst of the street disorder in other parts of downtown. Right in downtown, walking distance from businesses, coffee shops, restaurants, Portland State U. The area has its homeless but I didn't feel unsafe at night. On-Site parking included - so useful! Tiled bathroom with curved shower curtain rod was a nice bonus. Nicole at reception was fantastic - professional, courteous, she helped resolve a small detail effortlessly. Some rooms are close to tram tracks so ask if you need absolute quiet at night.
