"Everything went extremely well. Communication was excellent. We had a few questions ant the owners were both quick to respond. Furnished beautifully, the area has plenty to do, restaurants and the waterfront within walking distance. Close to downtown and other points of interest. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet.We have it as a place to stay again when we return to Tacoma. Defiantly would recommend as a place to stay."

"Absolutely beautiful home!! The hosts were incredibly responsive to my obnoxious number of questions, including very last minute ones regarding parking (like, 1/2 mile away panicking last minute). The home is just as pictured, 3 bedrooms, all fantastic. We were only here for 2 days but we'd absolutely stay again. The neighborhood was amazing and as a group of traveling women, we felt safe the entire time we were there. Many places to eat within walking distance (E9 IS SO GOOD!) and a lot of cool shops to see while in the area. Parking was a breeze. Literally no issues whatsoever."

"The house was beautiful & very clean! It was perfect for our weekend trip. We hit a snag with Vacasa who was handling all the questions for the property owner. They weren’t very good at troubleshooting our problem with the keypad entry code, but we eventually managed to get in. About half hour later we received a call from the owner and she was very kind & we appreciated the call! :) luckily we only required the house for an overnight stay because there wasn’t any WiFi available and our service was very sooty but we loved the house & its surroundings. We felt secluded and had our own privacy even though the house was behind another one. Definitely would stay here again if we’re ever in the area despite our small issue with the keypad. "

"The house was very clean, beautiful home in Tacoma looks like historical neighborhood with many Victorian style homes and beautiful churches nearby. A few minute's walk to bay and a large park. It appears the VRBO app needs to be downloaded prior to trip, as that is the only way to communicate with the owner. The code provided for entry on email confirmation did not work had to reach out to VRBO to get in touch with owner since no contact information was provided on email confirmation, they provided code however the electronic entry did not work. Needless to say we were extremely frustrated with the situation since we drove 2 days to get to location. VRBO was helpful in getting us into the rental with the owner on the phone which was resolved in 20 minutes. The master bedroom toilet runs after flushing and needs to be fixed, otherwise nice rental."

"The Cushman House sits on a quiet street in residential Tacoma. Access to the building and our Unit (A, the upstairs) was easy via the electronic door lock. There are about 12 stairs up to the unit. Cushman A is spacious and attractive - simple, functional furnishings, plenty of light and lighting fixtures. The bedroom was large with a closet and hangers. The bed was comfortable and the linens clean. Overall, the unit was very clean, though when you are in the kitchen, there is a slight gas odor from the stove pilot. Everything one could need is provided in the kitchen. The bathroom was clean and had a ventilation fan. The toilet was a little 'moody' when flushing and the water pressure in the shower wasn't great but adequate. The living room was comfortable and TV/Wifi access easy. There is a small window AC unit in the living room and a large in-room AC unit in the bedroom, the latter rather noisy but it does cool the unit. We visited on one of the rare occasions when Tacoma was in the upper 80's and required the AC (July 2025). Our host was very good in communicating with us and answering questions. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Cushman House. "

"Would definitely stay at this apartment again. The location was great. It was clean and had everything we needed. The linens were all top notch. She had the softest sheets and towels. Knowing we had two of our daughters with us, she had the futon already pulled out with sheets on it. Overall it was a great place to stay. I will highly recommend! "

"Impressive Victorian house, beautifully decorated throughout with hand-painted murals. Owners Jane and Skip were most welcoming and accommodating. Bed was most comfortable, but I loved the fluffy pillows! When I arrived, Jane told me breakfast would be simple…then surprised us with beautifully presented fresh fruit cups, French toast and perfectly cooked bacon. What is her idea of a fancy? Staying at the Geiger Victorian is the genuine B&B experience as it once was. I loved it!"
