The property and room were fine. The breakfast was slim. The main issue is the hotel charged my credit card after I had paid Expedia for the room 5 days in advance. I had a 40 minute chat with Expedia and another 20 minute phone call to resolve the issue. The Expedia agent told me the hotel had charged Expedia’s virtual card for the room, but the hotel couldn’t see it and charged my card too. That is totally unacceptable, and should have been between the property and Expedia. Maybe next time, the hotel will contact Expedia and actually solve the issues and not make it my problem. I am giving the property benefit of the doubt that they weren’t trying to scam me. Barely.
