“Fantastic property. Esther was such a wonderful host. Really thoughtful and welcoming, and the pictures she's painted for the property are lovely. We really liked the spacious living and dining areas. And we all slept comfortably in the beds. House was lovely and clean. I didn't get check in instructions in advance which was a bit nerve wracking. The company appointed to manage the letting weren't especially responsive. But Esther was there waiting for me and gave us everything we needed.……

“Large spacious room, comfortable beds, small but modern bathroom, great setting and nice and quiet over night, free parking on site. Staff were very helpful with any of our questions, breakfast was freshly cooked with plenty of variety and all for a very reasonable price. Will definitely return”

“located in the small downtown Lyme Regis, easy to go to the beach, shops and restaurants it is an very old inn, very tradition english wooden building, downstair is the bar and restaurant, a bit oily smell, beware of no air-con”

“Lovely clean room with very comfortable bed and excellent shower. Superb views across to the hills behind the village. Very nice toiletries provided and excellent tea/coffee/hot chocolate in room facilities with biscuits! I really enjoyed the comfortable residents lounge which was unexpected but a nice place to relax and read a book (motor racing or vehicle enthusiasts will enjoy the book selection). The breakfast was very high quality with local Ingredients and beautifully presented. Gluten……

“Clean and comfy. We stayed in a family room. Some discrepancies between what we booked on Expedia and what was sent through to the hotel, but was sorted by email and phone call in advance. Warm welcome and THE most amazing dairy free, gluten free complimentary brownies I've ever tasted. The room was lovely and just what we needed for a one night stop to break up a longer journey. Only slight issue was the noise from something the other side of the bedroom wall (some sort of low level……

“Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast ”
