“My adult children, spouses, and grandkids ranging in age from 7 months to 20 all had an absolutely wonderful time hanging out in this spacioius house, swimming and hot tubbing, playing pool, and cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. Two in our family even braved the river for a cold dunk before suana. The hosts were wonderfully responsive and helpful. Everyone had a blast. Highly recommend.”

“To see the 2024 eclipse, celebrate a big birthday and relax and bond with our adult daughters, this was a good place. The owner is communicative and helpful, and we were a good fit as a family looking to have a pretty relaxed time, as opposed to a party. The big couches, kitchen table and deck table on the low deck overlooking the big, rolling lawn helped us relax upon arrival. “We were 4 families that rented the Osprey Manor for a weekend at Cayuga lake to view the Solar Eclipse in its path of totality on April 8, 2024. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old house... the walk to the lake and the view of the lake from the front of the property were lovely... We especially enjoyed the lovely reading nook upstairs with a view of the lake, and many of us spent time sitting there reading books, or chatting with each other in the glow of the evening sun! “The owner was very nice to deal with and was kind enough to let us get into the home a bit early - much appreciated! In addition, she does have some nice things in the house - two coffeemakers, good internet, seating options, tvs, etc. But this house is old and needs repairs/replacements - the beds are not comfortable, the deck is rickety, some of the windows are old and don't close all the way (so bugs get in - mayflies and stink bugs), the dishwasher didn't drain completely and the hot water……

“My main complaint was the listing said basic soaps To me that should include shower soap- all other places I have stayed have as well as shampoos We arrived at the property at 10 pm and had to go out to the store to buy soap so we could all shower in the morning That was the major disappointment. Otherwise the house is spacious and well kept”
