“Overall, the property was in good condition and appeared well maintained. Since the check-in process is entirely self-service, I ran into an issue when my key set did not include the main door entrance key. Fortunately, a staff member was available to assist me; otherwise, I would have been locked out. The room had a noticeable moldy smell, and the washroom did not provide any toiletries, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the bed linens and towels were clean, freshly washed, and……

“Ignore Karen’s review! Don’t be afraid to stay here. This is a lovely, quirky place. Super clean. Quiet. Check in was a breeze. There were two people waiting for us when we arrived and someone carried everything upstairs for us. It was a great place to stop overnight. We stayed on the top floor in a very big, pretty room that fit five (we were 4). Shared bathroom, but we were the only ones upstairs, so no big deal. The little black cat is super friendly and likes a little love. The chickens……

“This was a wonderfully charming little BnB! The room was spotless and felt brand new. Cozy outdoor patio surrounded by blooming flowers and plants. The breakfast was amazing; highly recommend the stack! I had a parking spot just outside the room. Will definitely return when I’m in the area again! Thank you!”

“Stayed one night when attending a wedding in the castle. Can only recommend on my visit. Looked after by Cathy from arrival until breakfast next morning. Had dinner at Crown hotel a few mins from hotel and 10% discount on food was applied for hotel guests. Mind flash the key fob to let them know before the bill is on table. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast was served and tea/ coffee top ups were no trouble if asked for. Recommend the Kirkstyle if staying in the area.”
