“We had a lovely time in the lodge. It was clean and lovely and warm and the member of staff we delt with, (Linda), went the extra mile to make sure we were ok and happy. An excellent location and fantastic walks around the lock.We look forward to returning soon.”

“Very relaxing stay! It was nice having two bathrooms, too. Note that they are both upstairs in the cottage. Not a problem for us, though. Place was cozy and comfortable. The pub next door closes early so patrons and any noise coming from there ceases early. Bed was comfy, too. ”

“We returned for a second time, after a lovely stay last year, for a family holiday. The property is really clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We had regular visits from red squirrels and a range of wild life. The secure garden was enjoyed by our grand daughter and the dogs. There are great walks right from the door, access to local cafes and a shop plus the opportunity to watch the steam train 6 times a day. We hope to return next year.”

“The lodge was absolutely perfect! So well kitted out with everything you could ever need. Home from home in a beautiful location. We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children. Loads of space for all of us. The hot tub was fab. Sheltered and with some privacy too. Everything was immaculate. Lorraine was so helpful too. ”
