“We celebrated my daughter's upcoming wedding with a shower at the Meritage for a girls weekend stay. We had stayed here three other times but didn't have any issues when reserving directly with the property. This time, we reserved through Expedia and was satisfied with the price of the room through this platform; however, was misled on price expectation. According to Expedia's website, it stated total price I'd be paying, but when I checked in, the front desk charged me over almost $200 more……

“We wanted a night away, last second and found The Charles. We stayed in room 100,little private cottage and it was exactly what we wanted. Well decorated,clean,quiet, private,centrally located.....Breakfast was delicious and the host was wonderful! Only suggestion I have is get a maintenance guy in there to tighten the faucets. We would definitely come back next time we're in town.”

“Do NOT book this “hotel”. It is not a hotel. It is a very old house very tiny rooms, hardly big enough for a bed to fit. When I asked for a larger room, I was told that because I booked through Expedia, there was nothing that could be done. The room is only big enough for a bed. It is tiny. It is not a room, it is a closet. The only place for luggage was on the bed! I felt completely deceived by this place, and they would not accommodate me in any way…not a larger room, not a refund. “The host is very friendly. Place is very clean, and is of Victorian style decoration. Breakfasts are delicious. Location is great. The room I stayed the first night missed a window lock, so one window couldn't be locked. The overhead lights weren't functioning, so the room isn't super bright after dark. Otherwise the room is very nice -- the heater, the bathroom, the dressing room are beautify. The bed was clean and comfy. The host was friendly and moved me into another room, which is very……
