Experience a historic piece of Tybee when you stay at the island`s Commissary Quarters. Featuring 3 thoughtfully renovated and fully furnished vacation rentals that have been awarded for their pristine historic preservation--the Commissary Quarters can be rented separately or combined for larger groups and families looking to stay together and still have their own independent spaces.

This listing is for Unit 1 of the Commissary Quarters.
Unit 1 is handicapped accessible as it features a wheel chair lift, open concept floor plan, wide doorways on the main level, as well as a walk in shower and separate soaking tub.
*Please let us know in advance if you need the wheel chair lift turned on for your stay.

This Unit features 5 bedrooms, 4 baths. Upon arriving to the Commissary Quarters Unit number 1 guests can park up to 4 vehicles in the gravel driveway closest to Unit 1 (left side of the property if you are facing the property). There is an electric vehicle charging station complimentary for guest use throughout your stay!

Upon entering Commissary Quarters #1, you are greeted with restored hardwood floors, modern upgrades, and an open concept floor plan, ideal for entertaining.
The Living room area features a mounted high definition TV with a Blu-ray player and sound system.
Adjacent to the living area is a Dining table that comfortably seats 8 people. The fully stocked kitchen, provides additional countertop seating, stainless steel appliances, drip coffee maker, and a fridge with a filtered drinking water system as well as on demand ice!

Directly next to the Dining area on the first floor is an additional room that may be used as Bedroom 1 or a sitting area. This room has a twin size daybed and a High definition TV with a Blu-ray player and Fire stick.
There is an attached handicap-friendly full bathroom and laundry room.
Bedroom 2 the King suite, is also handicap friendly and located on the first floor. The King suite features an attached full bathroom with a claw foot tub and walk-in shower.

Upon walking upstairs to the second level of the Commissary Quarters 1, guests are greeted with a small reading nook that overlooks the kitchen. It features a comfortable lounger, free standing reading lamp, and plenty of reading materials to choose from.

The top floor of this home has an additional common living space featuring seating and a mounted Hi-Definition television.
Adjacent to this Living room area is two bedrooms, and a shared full bathroom.
Bedroom 3 has a Queen bed, window seat, and High definition TV with a Fire stick for streaming services.
Bedroom 4 has a Queen bed with a High-definition TV and a Fire stick. Continuing down the hall is another large bedroom.
Bedroom 5 has two Twin beds and a Queen bed. This large suite has a High definition TV with a Fire stick for convenient streaming, and an attached full bathroom.
Unit 1 of at the Commissary is not only expansive, but it is historically preserved to allow guests to vacation in a piece of Tybee History blending the modern amenities of a vacation rental with the historic features of the old Commissary soldiers used when deployed for training during WWII. Pretty Cool, right?

And.....we`re not finished! The outdoor area of the Quarters at the Commissary is just as unique and well kept as each of the separate Quarters. The grounds are maintained year-round and are home to several fruit trees.
Each Quarters has separate furnished decks, a propane grill, and 4 parking spaces. On the grounds, you will find several bike racks for storing your bike while on Vacation.

Located on the North end of Tybee, The Quarters at the Commissary are steps from the Historic Tybee Lighthouse, a short walk to Tybee Island`s north beach and Marine Science Center, and within walking distance to North End Restaurants.
