“Great base to explore IOW (by car), nowhere is very far away.Enjoyed visiting Godshill, Shipwreck Centre, Carisbrooke Castle, Newtown Nature Reserve, Freshwater Bay (great waves!), Cowes, Sandown, Ventnor and Shanklin. Also climbed Bembridge Windmill and had lunch at St Helen's beach.Had a boiler breakdown on first morning so had no hot water for 4 days, happened on the Friday so difficult to find someone to repair it. “The cottage was very well-equipped, practical, well located and very comfortable beds. Everything worked and storage was great. Loved the nice bedding and towels! Nice that cleaning things and tea/coffee packets were there for arrival etc. We didn't miss anything we needed. Decor nice and lots of local information provided to help us plan and book trips out. “This flat is lovely, clean, light and airy. The location is fantastic - just swimsuit on and walk straight down to the beach! The flat had everything we needed. I chose this location for speedy access to the beach, buses to elsewhere on the Island, and food shops - all really close.
