“It's ok if you just want a bed for the evening. Very tired throughout and needs a full refurb desperately. The reception was sketchy at best and often unmanned. Don't bother with breakfast. It's not good That being said, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Shanklin itself is also run down. “Lovely Hotel , very clean and fab room but could of done with a bigger room with our Grandson.! Staff were excellent, helpful and friendly and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. A tiny fridge would be helpful in the room but over all we had a lovely stay at the Birdham. What a lovely part of the Island Bembridge is, in my opinion the nicest exception apart from the Needles. “Our experience at this hotel was excellent. The lady assisting us to check in was very nice. She showed us around the hotel facilities and gave my kids swimming toys. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel had three swimming pool, one indoor and two outdoor. My kids really enjoyed the pool. In addition, the included breakfast was delicious. This hotel definitely deserves that we come back.”

“We had a wonderful stay at No. 29. Our host, Chris, was very welcoming and thoughtful. We loved the personal touches, from the delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake waiting for us on arrival to the cafetière coffee provided in our room. Our room was peaceful, quiet, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a highlight, perfectly cooked with a wide selection, including even more homemade cake and the best homemade bread I’ve ever tasted!
