“2 separate fire alarms, with evacuation of room, due to bugs getting into the hallway. No overnight manager onsite to organize evacuation. Guest had to call fire department. Noisy and ineffective wall AC. Only one light in the bedroom. Poor quality soaps. Door did not shut properly, needs reshimming. No elevator to second floor. Positive side, room was large but no sofa/ side chairs. Room was clean. Management gave a partial refund for the very unsatisfactory night stay.”

“Excellent location for walking to all the shops and the riverfront in downtown Stratford. We could leave our vehicle in the free parking lot at the hotel for our entire stay. We only needed to drive to some of the distant theatres, but if you wanted you could use the hotel shuttle service instead of your own vehicle to get to the distant theatres. Rooms are clean and high quality and appear to be renovated recently. Beautiful restaurant.”

“The hotel was in a great location, close to the main shopping area and restaurants. The property was very clean however a few things were in slight disrepair such as the soap and shampoo dispensers and our door to our room did not close all the way automatically and it was sticking, likely due to the age of the property and the humidity. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. Be sure to book parking straight away when you book your room as there are very few parking spaces……

“It was quaint and clean. Stairs only, no elevator. No front desk or anyone to ask a question. Door to hotel locks at 6pm, which was an issue since I arrived at 6:30pm. I had to call an emergency number to gain access. Glad my US phone worked in Canada. I had a room on the street side and it was very, very noisy, even at night. My earplugs helped, but not much. Hotel location was great and the parking was free. There was a room air-conditioner that did the job. Not a hotel for anyone that can't……
