“I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay.”

“Unfortunately, the room temperature was hot beyond any reasonable level. Being British and living in an old home here in the UK I understand how hot upper level rooms can get in the extreme heat and was expecting the temperature to be excessive. The actual temperature was beyond extreme and the fan provided did not oscillate and was extremely noisy. I’m not sure rooms should be sold and certainly not a full price in such extreme temperatures. Thankfully we had booked to go to an event that……

“The cricketers itself was very nice pub food was okay but nothing special, breakfast was good. Our room (the best)was located in a converted bungalow over the road , on arrival i was handed rhe keys and told its over there!! The room was clean but tired .there was no fridge to keep anything cool The weather was extremely hot ,hottest on record, there was no air con , just a small fan in the room which was extremely hot , i had brought an additional fan with me as a precaution .
