“Property was immaculate! It’s obvious the owner takes excellent care of the home. The availability of 2 kayaks and life jackets was an added bonus that we didn’t realize how much we would enjoy. We kayaked around the lake at least twice each day, and enjoyed fishing off the small dock. Our 2 night stay was at the tail end of a busy week in New Orleans and we are so glad we ended our trip here. Highly recommend a stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.”

“The cottage was very comfortable and the location is quiet. It was also very clean. There is a fully stocked kitchen with appliances and dishes. There is a coffee maker and a Nescafé. I wish I had knows about the nescafe when I was at the store prior to arriving. It is a 10-15 drive to grocery stores and restaurants, with an exception to the restaurant in the marina that is just a golf cart ride away. The hill down to the marina is pretty steep and narrow. “We booked this property last minute for a Caverns event due to the close proximity. Our trip started with one minor hiccup that was out of the owner’s control, but she and her daughter worked to quickly resolve the problem late at night. The house is very spacious and has a lot of character. The decor and furniture is all meticulously curated and well laid out (this is not your typical Ikea/wayfair filled rental!!) “My family (kids- 4,8,and 12) stayed at this property for a wedding (at another venue). This location would be ideal for a wedding, ceremony, or family get together. There are multiple cabins available surrounding a pond all in the middle of God's green earth. There is also river access on the property. It's isolated enough to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but still only 10 minutes from the nearest grocery store. Trails, fishing, basketball, pickleball, petting horses, and deer……

“My husband and I stayed here with another couple since we all had tickets for a show in The Caverns. The house was very cozy, and laid out perfectly for 4 people, could’ve even squeezed in 1 more person in the living room if needed. We loved our back patio with gazebo too! There were even shampoos, body soaps, a brita, and PLENTY of toilet paper and towels. Which may seem silly but most rental houses barely have toilet paper. we were a short walk away from the state park right next door, and……

“We stayed here for a staff retreat and comfortably had 10 people stay. It's spacious, beautiful, and clean, and the layout is awesome. There's a grocery store nearby for quick runs and close to pickleball courts and hiking. It's right on the lake with an awesome back yard and deck to make mornings and evenings extra great.”
