“It started well with a very warm welcome on arrival and a hostess who had a good sense of humour which is always a bonus for me with my humour. She was friendly and showed where the room was rather than just giving directions... “Great location with on site free parking to get straight into Salisbury but also fabulous for visiting the beautiful Cathedral which our room had a view of as well as great included breakfast. “This is a pub with a difference, a traditional old New Forest Inn with interesting decor. Also charming New Forest ponies visit daily and stand and watch while you have a beer. “The George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful.
