"This is a hostile not a hotel so you need to keep that in mind when renting here. This is not for the fussy. This is for those who want to save big on hotel fees yet be close to it all. Sleeping quarters are very small, but clean and bed is comfortable. Communal shower and bath are cleaned once a day by maids. Noise level is not too loud, but you can hear your neighbors on occasion. However, another hostile I stayed at a block away was much noisier and not as well run. Again this is a hostel, not a hotel. You have to accept some rough edges to obtain the exceptional savings. If you are OK with this, this is the place for you in NYC, "

"Location was prime, minutes walk from the metro, shopping, and popular bagel spots. Staff and service was great and quick to assist. Cafe lobby: 10/10 iced lattes and smoothies. Would definitely stay again. "

"I've stayed in a lot of good quality hotels in New York,but this one was a bit different. My stay felt very safe and personable, I had everything I needed, and if I didn't I had the front desk to always guide me through any questions I had. Very clean rooms, and such an amazing surrounding area with lots of options for food "

"Really liked the property, views and all staff (desk, concierge and housekeeping) were very helpful and kind. Good gym and very spacious rooms w terrific bathrooms. The decor of rooms could use some tweaking as some wear and tear but very clean. "

"Staff and stay was great! Only issue is the elevators get very jammed up early morning (there’s no staff elevator, so the cleaning crew have to use the guest ones), so it can take a while to catch a ride."
