“Very interesting and unique way to stay in Marfa. It was very quiet and easy to get to. We loved the view out of the windows and felt it was remote enough for us to unwind. The wifi was a bit difficult but that was due to a lot of recent storms in the area. I had to reset the router and it is password protected unlike how the desk said it was unlocked. However the password for the regular wifi works on the specific containers router.”

“This was my second time visiting and it did not disappoint! The stone cottage is a quaint reminder of a more simple time. Plenty of things to do in the area or one can sit on the sky deck and enjoy the stars! Ingrid is so friendly and helpful! A little gem in the desert!”

“We stayed here for two nights while visiting the McDonald Observatory in the Davis Mountains. The unit itself was clean, the A/C worked very well, and there was plenty of hot water.There were, however, a few areas that could use some attention. The photos of the back patio are outdated. The space currently has a patio table and a plastic picnic table, but the patio table hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. The umbrella was a nice touch and provided good shade, but there was an empty water……

“We enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect except we would have liked a grill to cook our steaks on.The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I loved having a bath in the claw foot tub, it was so relaxing. It’s located at the far end of Alpine but the town is small enough it is easy to get around. The town has a lot of cute restaurants and shops.”

“The Bank had a great front porch with rocking chairs and a fabulous view of the mountains and the sunset. The bed was comfortable, but the room lacked a coffee maker, tissues, and a chair to sit in, though there was a small stool covered in towels. Someone left the last 2 sections of the toilet paper on the roll instead of changing it out for a new one, and the sink still had clumpy soap residue from previous renter. The shower also had mold in it, so I was a bit dissappointed in the amenities……

“We had the greatest time! The place looks straight out of the western era and the views are incredible! It’s super close to Big Bend. If you want to go see stars is the perfect place, always double check the weather because we did get some clouds and rain on the second day. Overall, it was a great place! The only thing that I would recommend is that the porch light to be red light, when we were stargazing some people had their porch light on and it affected visibility.”
