"Just as advertised, this is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage. It is a detached accessory unit and not a “house”, but provided plenty of privacy, even with the host onsite. Parking is as described, but you do need to maneuver a few gates to get to the front porch. The fenced yard with the firepit looks nice for spending time outside. "Loved everything about this cozy and inviting vrbo. I just knew it would be home-away-from-home in every way that truly matters and it did not disappoint. I booked it because it is just a few blocks from my oldest son’s tiny rental, then was pleasantly surprised by how walkable the neighborhood and Main Street businesses were. "This is an amazing property. The teens lit up when they entered and explored and immediately set up camp in their room. This is such a charming home and wonderfully decorated. "The Californian was perfectly situated near the edge of town for easy walks to bakeries and bars. It was also perfect for our bike rides out of town up into the Sierras. The hosts Sarah and Chris were so generous with coffee, tea, cold drinks sweets for the trail or road. The Californian was a great base camp for my group of cycling buddies and me and Sarah and Chris made everything so comfortable. Much thanks."
