“I stayed at this property for a couple of weeks. Positives: Housekeeping and the Central Studios team for enquiries were very helpful. Very close amenities nearby,: convenience stores, a fish and chip shop, an Indian and Chinese restaurant as well as a pharmacy. Rooms are a good size. Negatives: The rooms looked tired and need redecorating. Carpets dirty. The single room I moved into at the beginning didn’t look like housekeeping had properly cleaned it. I had raised over the weeks……

“First of all, the room was very clean and had all of the amenities one should have and expect. In the morning I could get a speciality coffee from the bar and sit in an alcove and enjoy the view of the square. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. A quaint boutique hotel. I would definitely book the hotel again.”

“Convenient ”

“The 5-night stay was overall comfortable, although there was an issue with controlling the temperature of the hot water shower. It would occasionally become scalding during showers. It would also be wonderful if breakfast could include some fruit. Other than these minor points, it was a delightful stay. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the reception gentleman kindly helped my daughter and me carry our luggage to the room on the 2nd floor.”

“We had a great time. We had dinner at the pub on arrival. We stayed overnight and had breakfast. Both meals were very good. The room was clean and very comfortable. Staff were lovely. I would highly recommend this place. Great experience!”

“Room prices are over priced for what you get with some overlooking the main road so expect a disturbed nights sleep. The bed is comfortable though. Oh and the TV didn’t have a signal despite the pubs proximity to the top of a hill. Even though a breakfast is included with your stay, having service start at 09:30 is very late and may not suit most people’s needs. Food in the restaurant is about average, the reference to Michelin may mislead you and there’s only 2 options for veggies. Even on……

“Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles.”
