My Place Hotel Raleigh Garner NC

8/10 Good

"Overall a decent place to stay, reasonable price. PROS: The bathroom/tub was nice and clean. The beds were made with clean white linens and a down-like comforter. The mattress was a bit firm to me, but I slept well. There were enough outlets on and around the nightstand for my cpap, phone and watch chargers. The refrigerator was clean. Overall the room was clean, but the carpet seemed aged. CONS: When I arrived no one was at the desk and it took them a bit to come over to check me in. As I entered my room, there was a very stale, off-putting smell in the room. After I used some air freshener my daughter got, the staleness was much better. There was a board from one of the beds on the floor next to it. I informed the front desk but it was never removed or fixed. I moved it myself to avoid tripping on it. I did not use the kitchenette, but I did look through the drawers and cabinets and noted there were no dishes, silverware, or pots and pans. You might have to ask for that, IDK. There are no large ice machines in the halls. When I asked, they said the refrigerators in the rooms have icemakers. They did, but I did not turn it on/use it. There were a group of “regulars” who hung out in the lobby most of the day and evening. I don’t know if they were also guests, or if they had relationships with some of the staff. I did not use the gym or any of the amenities, so I can’t really comment on those. I did not have a car, but parking seemed ok, could use a few more spots."
