“This was such a cute place, with a small courtyard right outside our door. Very clean room. close to all the bars/restaurants, and right next to the water of Lake Superior. One of the staff saw my husband walking from our bike with our towel we use to wipe off rain/dew and a few minutes later came to our room asking if we needed extra towels. We didn't need it but that was so nice to check.”

“This was a 2 star property in a 5 star location. The only window in our small room looked right out to the indoor pool and a hot tub about 8 feet away, so it was unusable. The breakfast offerings were similar to the pastries, cereal and waffles provided by other motel chains. But the location! The large lawn was right on the lake, with chairs and picnic tables. We saw a bald eagle, a blue heron, a black swan and a thousand cormorants in the bay.”

“The cottage looks nice in photos and they do keep it as clean as they can; however, it is very rundown. We were bothered by the strong smell of fabric softener (gives us migraines) and mildew. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom narrow and dark, and overall, we just had “the creeps” the whole time. So much so that we left early. Honestly, we expected more for the price. You can find better options in the area for what we paid.”
