“This cabin was near what we wanted to do: visit Cherokee and hike in the mountains. It was also a great place to return to at the end of the day. The porch overlooking the river was spectacular. The cabin had a "woodsy" feel to it and was very quiet. The beds were comfortable. Clint was communicative as needed. We especially appreciate that he contacted us promptly when he discovered that we left a pair of glasses behind. He offered to send them to us and refused payment, event for postage.”

“This bottom floor cabin is quite amazing. Denise and Larry thought of everything, every little detail. It was very relaxing being able to jump right in as the place was spotless!! (& I'm a little OCD about cleanliness). Clean and comfy sheets. The towels had a clean and refreshing smell too. It was really nice! It felt like a home away from home especially being able to have our two small dogs join us. I would strongly recommend this perfect lil cabin!! We didn't get an opportunity to check out...

“For winter, we had some good weather. Still too cold to hang out on the outside porch which is the best place to hang. I don't know if it's a good idea, but I would suggest an outdoor heater that way you could hang out on the outside porch more in the winter. One of the outdoor path lights was out so I recommend fixing that. But those are both just being picky. Overall the place is a great value and well maintained. And the mountain air is so clean and the water falls are so close.”

“My wife and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary at our favorite cabin! The mountain views always take our breaths away, and the rolling clouds through the mountains are amazing to watch. This cabin is packed with so many thoughtful and fun things, the game room has everything you could ever need to have a good time. Loved the hot tub overlooking the view. Very comfortable bed and furniture. Will be back again someday!”

All on one level so it was perfect for my parents to stay in. Very clean and thoughtfully laid out. Everything I needed was right in this cabin! We even had a little campfire one evening! “Shady Creek was a great place to stay for three nights with my girlfriend while we enjoyed the local roads and explored the area. The setting is up hill and provides a nice, nearly secluded view into the woods. Which was enjoyable from the new hot tub that was recently installed! On the inside we were surprised to find the HVAC wasn’t working! But Troy was very quick to respond. He installed window units to make sure we were comfortable! “This was a short stay for us, but the cabin was better than advertised. The rooms were smartly laid out, and their was everything one would need. After a couple of long days driving & exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding areas, it was nice to come back for a good soak in the hot tub.
