We’ve stayed at the Delafield Hotel about 5 times to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, and date nights.
Our stay this time was for my husband’s birthday.
We generally have a nice evening without complaints, but we weren’t so lucky this time.
The first hiccup was when we were trying to enjoy a nice bath in the jacuzzi tub, which is why we chose this location, and a dog was barking non stop for about 40 minutes before we called the front desk.
They upgraded and moved our room, which we appreciated, but it was an absolute inconvenience to have to pack up everything we had already set up.
The new room was huge and right next to, I’m guessing the bridal suite that was connected to three other rooms.
We got to wake up at 6:50am with them and had to listen to their very loud conversations until we finally put in our earbuds.
Now, who wants to on a romantic night out with your loved one and have to wear earbuds?
They tried to accommodate, but unfortunately the guests are sometimes outside the control of hotel staff.
But, in all honesty I probably won’t be back for a while especially if we have to worry about hearing someone else’s pets all night.
