"Hosteria Papagayo was a lovely place for us to rest and relax after hiking Quilatoa and Cotopaxi. We enjoyed exploring the farm - free ranging chickens, ducks, cow etc - with our 2 year old son. The room was nicely furnished and the breakfast was good. Wifi was good and water pressure/temperature was good. The hotel staff also kindly accommodated our food requests. Some negatives: There was not much else to do on the property or in the surrounding area. It was expensive to get transportation...

"Perfect and hassle free stay! A great start to our vacation!!! The shuttle was waiting for us and promptly took us to the hotel. I was nervous because our flight was quite delayed and it was very late. I had asked for a rollaway bed and I was incredibly grateful they had it ready for us at 1am! The water pressure and water was very soft in the shower. The breakfast and coffee were wonderful. The entire staff we encountered was incredibly attentive and polite. We did not utilize the pool, but it looked very welcoming. There was a lot of security we noticed, but we felt incredibly safe during our stay. We will stay here again if ever in Guayaquil."

"As always, the Oro Verde Cuenca is the best place to stay. They are always accommodating and go above and beyond. I brought my fiancée, our just turned 6 month old daughter, and our family dog to celebrate my daughter 6 month birthday at the place were we brought her to right after she was born. The hotel manager and staff recognized us since we always stay there, and they brought us a delicious cake and gave our dog a lovely toy, snack, and doggie bed. I couldn't be more grateful for how they always treat us which is why we consider the Oro Verde Cuenca our home away from home. We can't wait to come back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
