I fell out of bed there because the side where I was sleeping was sagging. I wanted to explain this at the office when I left, but at 9:30 AM there was no one around, so I had to drop the key through the door slot; I tried calling, but no one answered.

What an "off-the-beaten-path" gem. Literally on the banks of Lake Erie and in the midst of welcoming eateries, diners, wineries and less than 40 minutes from Presque Isle State Park . We needed to get away from rushing and everyday tasks and Lakeview on the Lake is the place to do that. Accomodations are "eclectic camp" vibe. The hosts are present and helpful, but not hovering. Each unit has a parking spot. Be aware that the mini cabins are mini! If you ever wondered if you'd enjoy a tiny house, here is your opportunity to find out. The outdoors calls and so much to see and do on the Lakeview grounds and near-by that we were just enamored. We live 7+ hours away and expect to make the drive to stay here again. Joining other guests to enjoy the sunset, we met couples who have been getting away to Lakeview on the Lake for 20 years. This is a fabulous place to enjoy each other, Lake Erie, and Pennsylvania's natural offerings.

It's a great little hotel! The staff was very accommodating when I knew I was not going to be able to check it in by 10:30.
