Lake Life Fun In The Sun!

Summary:
Looking for a relaxing get-a-way? Or maybe the lake, fun in the sun is calling your name! This is the PERFECT place! This unique home can sleep up to 10 people. With tons of outdoor space including patios, balconies, covered entertainment area, dock, and of course THE LAKE, you are sure to have a blast here. Or if relaxation and solitude is what you crave there is nothing better than the peacefulness at the lake. You have access to the boat ramp & community pool. There is something for everyone!

The Space:
There is a main room with a queen bed & a full bed. Second room has a queen bed & has a futon mattress under the bed you can pull out. Plus there 2 futons in living room.

Guest Access:
The whole house is yours! Plus all the outdoor space, dock, plus the community pool ($1 per guest), and boat ramp.

The Neighborhood:
Only 10 min. from historic downtown Granbury. Tons of shops, restaurants, opera, festivals and fun for the whole family. 45 min to downtown Fort Worth and an hour (depending on traffic) to DFW airport.

Relaxing by the Lake
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly! We were on a girls trip and we ended up spending a bunch of time here. The house was super clean and the view was awesome. There was plenty of space to hang out and enjoy some fellowship! The only thing that would be good to know is with steep stairs up to bedrooms, you need to be able to navigate stairs well. The rooms were all comfortable and I do hope to go back soon!

Double booked, and nonrefund, terrible experience
Place was double booked, a family was already there. We had to find other arrangements. Vrbo says can only refund to cresit card originally reservednon, but we no longer have that card. So no refund. Terrible experience, family from all over state drove hours to stay here.

Amazing location but needs attention
Amazing location but unfortunately needs some attention to detail. I do want to point out the management responded promptly but a lot of issues with the property shows an oversight in management. We had to clean everything before use. The bathroom toilet/shower was clogged upon arrival. We had to go out to use bathrooms first night. The tub/shower had leaves in it. They did fix the next morning but if cleaned properly they would’ve noticed shower/toilet not draining. Pots had food stuck to them. Trash can was nasty inside and out with food/liquid. Tables/chairs outside on decks had to be wiped down prior to use as it had spills from previous guests. Light switches, doors, etc throughout the house shows a lack of regular cleaning. The shed with outdoor equipment was in one large pile of life jackets, paddles and misc equipment. Upstairs bed in one room needs a new mattress as it caved in middle. Overall this could be a 5 star VRBO but as the management company needs to do a better job on overseeing their cleaners and checking on the needs of the property.

Family Trip
Overall, the trip and property was great. Unfortunately, the check-out time posted on VRBO is not what the owner sent- VRBO shows 11a however the owner sent 10a, in email and it was the Friday after Thanksgiving so I was trying to stay as long as we could while they were kicking us out to ensure they had an extra hour to clean. 10a is not in line with any VRBO, or hotel I have EVER stayed at, and the notice being sent in an email instead of clearly posted on the site is not acceptable. Additionally, the neighbor's dog jumps around the fence consistently and that is a big problem if you bring your own dog not to mention the neighbors' dog use of the yard to go to the bathroom. House is great however they need to update the check-out time on the website and figure out how to keep the neighbor pets in their own yard.

Perfect R&R House
Totally enjoyed this Lakehouse. Perfect for people traveling with small pets. Very nice fenced yard and beyond. Very relaxing patio with nice view. The geese were doing fly bys for us! Nicely supplied kitchen as well. Would definitely recommend.

Fun Stay
My family of 4 and 1 dog stayed at this property last weekend. We had a great time! The kayaks and vintage arcade games were a huge added bonus! The view is wonderful looking out onto the water and seeing all of the geese. It was a short, easy drive to the Granbury downtown square. We also spent one morning in Glen Rose at the Dinosaur Valley State Park to hike amongst the dino tracks in the dried riverbed! We absolutely would stay here again!

Adult family get together
Cold weather didn’t stop us from a great adult sibling get together’. Played games cooked meals both on the grill and indoors. Loved watching the geese on the water!

Decent but could be much better with good management
Property management is clearly inexperienced or inefficient. By the way the procedure they provide for locking the door is wrong. It's a long press not a simple press. Throughout our stay the light in the main downstairs room didn't work. Property manager informed us about this when we arrived but that doesn't help us so it was forced candlelight dinners. The boats and all chairs on the decks were unclean and full of cobwebs - We had to spend a lot of time cleaning it all before we could use anything. We had to call Property management for directions on unlocking and using the boats. And It was only upon asking we were told one of the boats had a leak. Shouldn't all this info be provided upfront? The pull out bed upstairs has broken slats. Lawn is unusable as it was full of tall weeds. The best is yet to come - They claimed they forgot to add some charges and added an unsolicited $200 claim to my vrbo account more than a month after our stay! The water quality is poor. Soap won't come off. Carry your water.
