"It has 4 Start rating but unclear why it’s that high. Checking in, staff member didn’t seem particularly interested. Had to prompt guidance on how to get to my room. Dinner was fine. Nothing spectacular. Breakfast was fine. Rooms are dated, bed was way too soft. Probably old. All just pretty average ..."

"Booked this lodge last minute as we wanted to catch the heatwave. Absolute perfect location. We have been to the lakes several times but never bassenthwaite. Brought the paddle boards and literally a 30 seconds walk to the water. So quiet, stunning views, just perfect. Short drive into keswick too. ..."

"Prachtige rustige en zeer stille (je hoort werkelijk niks) locatie vanwaaruit je prima wandelingen kunt starten. Onder andere naar de top van Skiddow (ca 960m). Uitzicht op weiland (schapen) dal, dorp en fell."

"Overall needs revamp as wasn't clean enough for me .host friendly and helpful. The spa room lacked privacy.All that you need was there just had to scrub oven before we could use it and put throws over dirty sofa"
