"The Heron is a very well maintained vintage building with the creature comforts and customer service to entice me to want to return for a longer visit. There’s ample parking and we were able to plug in our electric car. The lobby area features an appealing lounge with massive fireplace and seating as well as the breakfast dining area. Breakfast was of a good standard with fruit and eggs made to order . The rooms have a mixture of vintage charm and expansive windows along with a nice bathroom...

The owner was engaging, helpful and also a wonderful chef. She prepared and served a delicious breakfast for us before sending us on our way with helpful and informative information about the communities and sites on Whidbey Island."

"When I checked in I was told Expedia made a mistake and the king with a hot tub that I paid for was not correct and our room did not include a hot tub. If we wanted the room with a hot tub it would be an extra $75.00 on top of the $206.00 I paid Expedia"

"Beautiful clean place, with a fresh fruit tray, yogurt, bottled water, OJ, coffee bar, fresh eggs from their chickens! Was able to feed adorable goats. This was a perfect place."

"Super location and clean home. It was overcast the weekend we were there, but the views of birds and the water were still lovely! Easy check-in process and very responsive and kind property manager. A well stocked kitchen for cooking if you decide to do that. The only thing that we missed were blinds in one of the bedrooms. An easy fix! Thank you for an enjoyable stay!!! :)"

"This house was very clean and well kept. Beautiful view, large yard and patios. Watching the deer in the yard and eagles in the trees all day. 5 min drive to Freeland. Beds were comfortable and rooms were a good size. Brand new hot tub and green egg. Also game room with pool table, fooseball and lots of other games. No access to beach. Pet friendly."
