Clean comfortable and very friendly family runs a place wonderful Indian restaurant perhaps one of the best I’ve had even better than what I get in Mississauga or Toronto if you’re going out east or going back to Toronto Ontario, I recommend stopping here for accommodation and the best Indian food you’re going to get wonderful incredibly diligence staff with the food at such cheap prices that you can’t stop eating

There was no room service, no towel replacement, and the shampoo and shower gel were never replenished during my stay. The hotel was also very noisy, especially at night, making it difficult to sleep and causing me to wake up several times because of the noise. The room had no nightstands beside the bed, and overall it was only in acceptable condition. The furnishings and amenities felt quite old and outdated.

Check in was good- they are strict with their 3 pm check in. You cannot check in early. The hotel itself is not kept up nicely. The tv in the room does not work, you have to screencast off your phone. Additionally, parking is tricky. You have to move your car every 2 hours until 4 pm. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars for a cleaner hotel, more amenities and a safer area.

The hotel staff eere very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage at the reception after check out. The hotel was clean but a bit old. The location is not ideal, while it is in a safe area, getting to some attractions can be a long and tiring ealk if you are not renting a car or using public transportation. Overall, it offered good value for money and was a solid budget friendly option.

This was not a place I would stay again… pros…. The staff was all very kind and always had a smile… that’s it. The room was clean while outdated it was clean and that’s what I needed.. the constant banging of doors to get up and down the stairs was awful, the side door to get in didn’t lock so it didn’t feel safe. The hallways were dirty, no ice machine, pop machine didn’t work, no laundry like it states. The so called roof top terrace they stated they have is nothing but an area with no chairs and covered in bird poop on every serve and garage. It’s a waste. When I booked it I felt I got a deal to stay in Halifax now I feel they made a deal and took more then needdd for that room. Also no cleaning daily while I was there for 3 nights. Very disappointed.

A lot of good places are close to the inn. Staff is very polite and helpful. Place is bit old but well maintained. However, don't forget to pack ur own toothbrush and toothpaste.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The room was clean but way too small we couldn't even unpack and we kept getting caught on the cords to the TV when walking by from the bathroom. Speaking of TV, there was nothing to watch except static. They rely on you connecting your own Netflix, Amazon or Disney account. ( if you have one), Rooms were loud. We could hear every conversation as if they were sitting in our room with us and people were coming in as late as 2 and 3 am. . The door has a big opening at the top and bottom, light can come through, sound came through and "if" there were rodents, they could crawl under the door if it wanted to. The air conditioning was loud, the fridge was loud, we could hear the upstairs people walking around and the view was the garbage and junk outside. We only stayed 1 night and left very early the next morning as we got no sleep at all. We left, asked for a refund but we got no refund. However, I didn't care as all I wanted was to move to a more comfortable accomodation. I do not recommend unless you are only planning to stay 1 night.
This is the Inn. Nothing to look at. Looks worse at night! We checked in at 9:20pm and checked out at 7am

The front desk guy was lovely. The actual Inn and room, were a little alarming. But the tiny room was clean. Furniture ( bed and dresser, there was no other furniture) were clearly second hand. The window A/C didn't really do much and it was a terribly hot and humid. Would not recommend 😕

There was no parking for guests, you had to find street parking and hope for the best. Tv in the room did not work, bathroom wasn’t very clean and had mold in the shower.

The building was dilapidated. The room we booked had a broken bed. The room was smelly. The tv did not work. When we asked for a better room initially, they refused claiming no room was available. Once we showed the broken bed, they miraculously had a spare room. The spare room had no tv so they had to provide a cable box that had not counter to place it on so it just dangled on the floor. There was a separated air conditioning machine that sounded like a turbine jet engine when turned on (we couldn't hear us talking while lying next to each other on the bed. They provided only 1 key card. When asked for a second one, they gave one that never worked. I'm tired of listing the things that were wrong about this entire stay experience. Don't book this place. You are better off sleeping in your car!

The lady at the front desk pulls a fast one. The ad says no parking but when you get there, she will charge you 20 bucks a night for parking. Keep in mind, there’s free parking in every direction for blocks. When I pointed out the ad stating no parking after she tried to charge me for parking on the lot, she got extremely upset and didn’t even want to look stating “ I don’t care!” She didn’t even maintain professionalism when I checked out and was extremely nice to her, didn’t once raise my voice or swear when we were going through the discussion, she didn’t even say two words to me. The rooms themselves are extremely tiny and you can hear everything going on around you. The property is well kept, minus the front door handle swinging off the hinge, and the rooms are clean but it’s basic basic. I wouldn’t say avoid this place but take in what to expect if you do book here.

The Commons Inn is in a great location, there isn’t a whole lot for amenities, the rooms aren’t very well lit, just one pot light by the door and a lamp by the beds, they were in the middle of renovations which contributed to the poor cleanliness but also the tub did have a film on it that we cleaned , it’s a fine spot to rest your head for the night in a good location but nothing glamorous, parking is difficult on the street and there is only a small parking lot out back that was $20 per night to park, also not the most organized, one of the cars parked beside me was blocked in by another person staying

Room was not clean, bathtub had mold build up and mildew. The door was broken and did not lock properly. No sound proofing, could hear people’s conversations in the room next to us like they were in the room with us. I would not recommend this property. The outlets worked occasionally but not consistent.
