"This is a beautiful place. Plenty of room for our family. 3rd bedroom does have a separate entrance but, it was fine for our older kids! Beautiful drive to get there and beautiful views. It is a drive from bigger areas but, we travelled most of the island so it was kinda in the middle. Would definitely stay there again"

"We absolutely loved this place! The yurts exceeded our expectations (which were high). They were spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated, extremely clean, and SO comfortable! The couches, beds, and pillows were so soft and cozy. Best night’s sleep we’ve ever had on vacation. The location was very private and quiet and beautiful. A perfect get-away. John was very friendly and nice and easy to work with. He was available to answer any question or help in any way needed. We only wish we had stayed longer. "The house has a great layout that was comfortable for 6. The views are wonderful, especially the view of the ocean from the deck. It was a very short walk to a quiet little beach which we liked much better than the big-named beaches. The place was easy to keep clean with an outside shower for rinsing off. It’s a bait of a drive for groceries or restaurants, so plan ahead. But the neighborhood is really pretty and this house is beautiful. All around we had a fabulous week. "

"This house was perfect for our family and friends. The location was somewhat remote, very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the sunsets every night. "What a wonderful place to stay! The property was so clean and the area was quiet . The views from the deck were superb and it made leaving the house for the day very hard! To swim it’s definitely challenging to enter and exit water but worth the effort ! My parents (75) were not able to get in as the terrain to enter and exit was too treacherous . My sister and I enjoyed the paddle boards and I swam everyday! Make sure to plan ahead as the drive “up the hill” is an event! We would definitely stay again - it had the island vibe we were looking for! The property manager was so helpful and quick to respond to any of our questions "

"We loved living here! For two incredible weeks, this home was our personal slice of paradise. We lived with the windows and doors open nearly all the time, letting in the breeze, the birdsong, and the peaceful rhythm of the island. Our daughter loved sleeping on the futon on the lanai most nights, falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the sounds of nature.The house was peaceful, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped for a comfortable, restorative stay. We picked fresh mangoes from the front yard, made fruit salad with local pineapple, and enjoyed sunsets every evening from the lanai.We snorkeled at several beaches around the island and especially appreciated the convenience of Pebbles Beach right at the bottom of the hill—perfect for a quick swim or quiet sunset stop.The location was perfect—quiet and tucked away, yet close enough to beaches, coffee farms, and island adventures. Everything was clean and well-stocked, from the kitchen to the beach gear. It felt less like a rental and more like home.Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us. We’re already looking forward to coming back!"

"It was the perfect place for me and my husband to stay for our honeymoon. I loved hearing all the Coqui frogs at night. It was so pretty and green. The owners were very easy to get ahold of. They were very quick to help when our oven stopped working. Definitely recommend staying here for a quick trip. "
"This is our second time to stay here. We loved it, and came back because it was so quiet and comfortable, and such a beautiful place and view. The yurts are well equipped and clean. The elevation makes for comfortable cool, but not cold, nights. The central sky light is spectacular at night with so many stars. It is calm and quiet and beautiful with various flowers. But it is easily accessed from Kona South Point and Volcanoes National Park. If we get back to the big island again, we hope to stay here once more! "

"This property was unique and we're so happy to chose to stay here.Pros: The views are incredible and the outdoor living spaces were very comfortable - in particular we spent a lot of time on the high top chairs, sofa bed, and two person dining table. The kitchen was fully stocked and operational with everything we needed. The bedroom was perfectly sized and comfortable. It was so easy to access Manini Beach (you can walk). By staying in Captain Cook you have a much more "locals" experience. There was plenty of privacy. Both indoor and outdoor showers worked well. The grounds are very pretty. Internet worked well. Roofing allowed you to stay outside while it rained. Items to Be Aware Of: You'll receive visits from local wildlife (we got to see turkeys, pigs, cats, roosters, lizards, and slugs). It takes awhile to drive "up the hill" whenever you go somewhere. There is a large staircase from where you park to the property. You park on the side of the road rather than a garage/carport. There are lots of bugs; so you 100% need bug spray. No air conditioning (the fans worked well enough). The bathroom is not connected to the bedroom. The Aloha sign in the directions is small (hard to see), the better landmark is that there's a dilapidated big rig truck just before the turn."

It’s not in great shape, but the reviews are stunning! We really enjoyed the outdoor living part of this home. The pool was wonderful to have; however, the listing stated it was heated, but should be clarified to say “solar heated”. We would definitely come back to stay at this property again!"
