“This is one of the most exceptional properties that we have ever stayed at. (It was a birthday gift from my wife). The online pictures do not do it justice. Everything from the room to the kitchen and the wrap around porches were clean and well maintained. We had a stunning view from the west facing porch. I can almost guarantee you that we'll be back.”

“The property is a wonderful place to stay. The view is amazing from the wrap around porch. This is the 3rd time we have stayed there. Not far from Berlin, Sugar Creek, Mt. Hope, Charm or Walnut Creek. My sister and adult daughter love to get away there for a girls retreat. Eli is a wonderful host. It is very clean and comfortable and has a hot tub! The goats are a bonus.”

“The Riverside Retreat was a respite from the noise of our lives. We enjoyed the clean, well-supplied VRBO space. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do while we were in Strasburg and the surrounding area. If you stay at the Riverside Retreat, be sure to visit the many historical places around the area. Zoar and the Ohio Erie Canal sites are very interesting, along with Fort Laurens, the first continental outpost of the Ohio Frontier, during the American Revolution.”

“Nice location, clean home, but the shower’s water pressure was like standing under a watering can sprinkler. If you turn the hot water down, the pressure gets less. Takes forever to get the soap rinsed off your body and hair. Other than that, nice accommodations”

“I couldn't have asked for a better hostess. Martha was extremely nice, helpful, and the communication was excellent. We added a relaxing couples massage to our stay, which we were able to enjoy in the comfort and privacy of the cabin. We also paid extra to have the bed and jacuzzi decorated with rose petals and tea lights, which added to the romantic ambiance. The scrumptious breakfast was well worth the additional cost and we were pleasantly surprised to find a personalized message written on……

“The room itself and the view was amazing! Very high-quality beds, sheets, pillows and furniture. I wish the vanity lighting were a little brighter. The shower is very good. The wooden patio chairs on the balcony need replaced. The wood cracked when I sat in it and I am not a big guy. I wish there were better instructions available on how to use the hot tub. Overall though a great experience!”
