Motel 6 is a great option for less money. For only 66 bucks per night, the place offers friendly and helpful staff, quiet and clean rooms with air conditioner, microwaive and a fridge. The front desk called my room after I checked in, to make sure everything was okay.

Such a unique setting. The golf course views are amazing. The history of the old seminary is well preserved. We loved walking around in and out of the building. Great character of architecture. Lovely pool and grounds.

When we arrived, we brought all of our luggage in with us, only to be told we needed to go around the block. The valet could have told us not to bring in all of our luggage. Then we had some difficulty finding the entrance, as there was no signage. The rooms need better soundproofing. We could hear the other guests around us. It’s a lovely town, and the staff were friendly.

The staff went above and beyond! I had a very early flight and they had a coffee and muffin waiting for me for my free shuttle to the airport. Cannot recommend enough!

Checking in was smooth. We were out all day the first day. When we came back, our toilet was full of brown water with "stuff" in it. I called down to the front office but they immediately put me on hold, so my wife went down to talk with them. It was late so the maintenance guy was not available, so we had to use the public bath on the first floor while our room was on the second floor. We also had to use the public toilet in the morning as well. Extremely inconvenient. No apologies at all. When we got back that evening, the water was clear, but the bowl was still covered in that "stuff". It was pretty gross. We were told that breakfast was from 5:30 to 10:30. Our last morning we went down to breakfast at about 10:15 but the lady had already closed and turned off everything. We went in and started taking food for breakfast. She came out and was extremely rude. She told us everything is closed and we're not open, but you can get what you can. We told her that we were told breakfast was until 10:30 so we still had plenty of time to get food that was supposed to be available but wasn't because she closed early. That was extremely disappointing to be treated like that. One saving grace was that the maid that cleared our room found my wife's device that she had accidentally forgot. The room was very nice, but the toilet and that rude kitchen attendant just soured the experience.
