“I do not recommend anyone staying here. We booked for 4 nights because my mother in law was in a Portland hospital. Coming home from the hospital the second day, we opened the door and the house was on fire upstairs and the house was filled with smoke. I called 911 and the fire department quickly arrived. I called the owner and he arrived too. The fire was upstairs and the firemen told me it was very lucky we arrived when we did and that that probably saved the house from burning down. They……

“When we arrived the driveway was blocked by 3 garbage cans and we had to go up to the door and the owner moved the cans as well as his car. He was cleaning 2 stand fans he gave us because of the no air conditioning but it was so hot in the apartment and there was such a strong smoky smell we were unable to stay even one of the 2 nights. The backyard or parking was not at all what it looks like in the pictures which was one of the reasons we rented to my 1 year old twin grandsons could run……

“The property was just as described on the VRBO app and website. It was very well located and was just minutes off the interstate in a quiet neighborhood. The communication was flawless and all our questions were promptly answered prior to booking. We really enjoyed staying at this excellent VRBO, especially that the property was all on the ground level and the showers had a space to sit down while showering...this was important to me because of my mobility issues. The small step into and out of……

“We found dog hair on the only two chairs that were in the room. I found a long human hair on one bed pillow, our slippers were full of dog hair from the floor, outside the door was dirty and spider webs everywhere. The bed was up against the wall making it difficult for the person close to the wall to get out of bed. No closet to hang our clothes. Sure wasn’t anything we expected, I booked for two nights but we only stayed one night. The host gave us a full refund which made it good for us.”
