When we went to check in the hotel didn’t have power. I get that it wasn’t their fault as an accident happened causing a majority of the town was without power. I canceled the reservation and went through hotels.com to do so. Hotels.com has not been able to contact the hotel to verify that they had no power. Another thing don’t fall for the appearance this hotel advertises on Hotels.com because it looks nothing like the pictures. It might have looked like this when they first opened 30 years ago.

What a wonderful getaway! From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were tucked away in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by spectacular views and peaceful scenery. The property is a new build, so everything is fresh, modern, and in perfect condition. It was also incredibly clean, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The owners live on the property and were so kind and welcoming. One of our favorite parts of the trip was simply sitting on the porch, taking in the beautiful views and enjoying the quiet. This is exactly the kind of place you go when you need to step away from the busyness of everyday life and recharge. We've already added it to our list of favorite getaway spots and can't wait to come back!

They do not have an on-site office. You have to go to another property and they don’t tell you that until you arrive. The room is very basic. Lots of rules and lots of signs and the young woman that greeted me made it feel like an interrogation asking me all kinds of questions even though I tried to engage in conversation with her. The fan was stuck on and ran on high all night and the light switch was broken. Even at 50% occupancy at $200 a night they should be able to keep a property up when collecting $3000 or $4000 per month for less than 200 ft.².
