8.6/10 Excellent! (3,128 reviews)
We chose to stay at the Centennial bc of all the great reviews. Unfortunately we had the complete opposite experience. We booked a king suite with river views for an upgraded fee. We arrived late, got checked in. Before entering our room we noticed the gloomy hallways. Hey, we can overlook "contemporary esthetics" in my opinion it's was all gray cheap building material, but whatever. Then we entered the room.... oh no!
Pool view, not river. strike 1
Bath door, was sooo narrow my mate had to walk in sideways. Lol! Strike 2
I forgot my slippers so I was barefoot, I stepped in soggy carpet puddle. Strike 3
(NOT even hung art, clinical white)
I'm not sure the room had a proper vacuuming between guests. Strike 4
The sheets were soft, but didn't actually fit the bed, so by morning one corner slipped off. Strike 5
We faced our next day, decided to have breakfast within hotel, omgosh only 1 server for all guests. We were in a rush and waiting longer than expected. Strike 6!!!
We decided to speak with management, we're normally really easy going but we were seriously unsatisfied. My mate decided to discuss our experience to management. No river view plus other less than satisfactory experience. We were offered a new room with a river view for an upcharge, what!?! Strike 7!
Eventually we got a good room and $100 credit to use during the stay. The room was definitely in a much nicer location to the river. But still the rooms don't look exactly as advertised. It's a basic room.
